the instructions say it goes onto a pipe at the front of the engine (pointing straight up) but I cant see a pipe like it at all on the C (instructions for a usa golf vr6) looks like ebay for the sucker unless I can use it elsewhere.

attenuate means to mute mate. some phone kits have addons to use the HU as a speaker system but thats something else entirely.

hooks up from the phone to the HU so that when your phone rings the HU will mute the sound so you can hear the call.

dont buy the eibachs - even my vr is on the limit of being a little high at the front. a 4pot would be terrible :(

yeah im considering doing that and replacing the main bulbs with superwhite ones.

easy to move the ring but then it doesnt line up with the headlight bulb and looks funny :(

got some decent angel eye rings and fitted them tonight. some MAJOR issues: 1. they look crap against the yellow of the dip/fullbeam 2. there are that many ridges etc on the glass that it blurs the ring of light into a big smudge 3. the actual light is a bit wide to pull it off. see for yourself. bit dissapointed but ah well

got my carbonio kit today and fitted it immedietly :) few installation issues but nothing major and soon up and running. seems to work pretty well. car seems a bit more willing to rev and generally a bit more enthusiastic. in summary: satisfied :D one question tho? I got a crankcase breather filter but have no idea where it goes. -pablo

seen this MANY times and not just for cars either. cmon - would you trust some guy to not only send you a car youve never seen AND the rest of the money from the first cheque? its a little far fetched and I hate to say it you are a MUG if you go any further with it.

can he get an ecu from a scrappy and get it recoded? we think something definately burnt out :? any idea if anything bar the ecu will be toast? wiring etc in the car.

ask yourself this - why is a usa guy paying top dollar (i take it he is paying asking price) for a car he can buy in the states? Plus hideous shipping. if its too good to be true it usually is!

not a raddo I know but I plugged my vagcom into my bosses A4 1.8T yesterday to see if there were any fault codes as it isnt running great. all went ok - vagcom told me the hall sensor and the lambda were buggered. so we are driving along and Im looking at the screens and we smell a slight burning smell so disconnect the vagcom and carry on. he pulls over to drop something off and when he tries to start the car again nothing happens. the lights all come on the dash as normal and the status says OK but when he tries to fire NOTHING happens. so we plug vagcom in again and now it says battery voltage is low. however the indash voltmeter says 12v ok. any suggestions? disconnected the batt for a few mins but no joy there. cheers -pablo

got a 106 gti as a daily which is perfect for work runs (if not a little thirsty). dont think i cold inflict a 10 mile stop start journey across belfast every day on the poor C the C only comes out the odd evening and weekends. seen it sit idle for a week at a time sometimes. such a waste :mrgreen:
