  1. would work well going past Gatso's and SPEC's providing you have a GPS detector to know their location in advance but not really much use if mobile camera van as by the time you see it they have already got you, as only takes 0.35 secs to get a reading off ya.......

  2. TBH, I don't think £200 (price of that one on eBay) is crazy money to ask for one of these at all, this is around the going rate for as rare a interior piece as this, £180 for the one on ed38, so about right.

  3. they had better be careful then, as thought that the actual corrado font is copyrighted etc ?

Better off with an original like the ones above on eBay as I can't imagine a copy being any cheaper TBH.

  4. Just dremel up some blanking plates from old plastic e.g. centre-console or scrap balck bits from interior e.g. parcel-shelf supports (I have a few if needed), screw into side of digi-dash or just stick on with ds-tape and job done (or fix the same bits to side of original dash aperture to shorten the available hole to the right size for the cluster to fit through. I can't see it being that difficult tbh ?

  5. It would be pretty straightforward to make up some sort of blanking plate to go either side of the clocks either fixed to the clocks themselves or the sides of the dash. Reckon it would be a nice mod and something different as haven't seen one done into a rado before.

  6. Have never seen a "copy" of a corrado script badge yet on eBay. Although there are always a few overpriced original script ones in primer available. Original price was £9.49+VAT, they are usually £18-ish plus delivery e.g here:

Could always get one of these and paint it silver or have it chromed

  7. Well looks as tho will prob be the slave or master cylinder then. Haven't been out and checked under bonnet or on ground for signs of fluid yet as been working a lot.

Can't be the clutch tho as it was new and installed bout 70 miles ago, if that.

Will just have to leave her until after New Year now though as garages / part places all shut till 2nd / 3rd January. Hopefully have her back on the road again soon tho, and get her finished off for the shows next year !

    Cheers

  8. It's really not a good idea to have your dog sitting on the parcel shelf, as if you have to do an emergency stop, the animal will just come flying off the shelf towards the front of the car injuring itself and possibly you in the process.

  9. Yep, you'd have to get a bodyshop to modify your tailgate to take the brake-light and get the parts too. Easier and cheaper to get a US-spec tailgate with the light built in already. They pop up on eBay from time to time.

  10. New 16v box is not in yet, however, sounding more and more like it's the clutch master cylinder on bulkhead or the clutch servo on top of the gearbox. It can't be the actual clutch as it hasn't even done 100 miles yet !

Will check fluid level tomorrow and for leaks under the bonnet as tbh had so much of a crap day, that I came home at 3pm and went to bed ! In any case the car isn't now going to be going anywhere till after New Year as garages (most) up here not re-opening till 3rd Jan......

Away to work now till 3.30am.........

    Cheers for the advices guys

  11. Well I've had an arse of a day so far.

Collected my car from the bodyshop earlier on and drove about town for a while but gearbox starting to feel "difficult". I then noticed clutch pedal had started to drop closer and closer to floor. Then started to get more and more difficult to get 1st and 2nd gear. Traffic a nightmare by this point in town, and having to keep in 1st gear and even with clutch pressed right to floor car was still wanting to go, not a good sign.........Eventually got nearly home and then had to try and reverse into a space......wrong move. Car now stuck in reverse gear !

Tried with both hands to get shifter out of reverse to no avail......then all of a sudden she popped out of her own accord. Clutch pedal now right on fllor without being pressed........Left her in neutral and managed to roll into a space thank god...........so I've really just about had it now.

Don't think it can be clutch as had the new VR6 helix clutch put in only 70 miles ago. Am thinking synchromesh in box gone or maybe cables snapped ?? It now won't go into any gear at all..........I have however got side-to-side movement with the shifter but nothing else.

Has anyone any ideas or advice on what to check / have checked other than what I have mentioned above ?

    Cheers :-(

  12. Well I've had an arse of a day so far.

Went up to the bodyshop to pay my xs this morning [provd very difficult having to find £450 a few days before christmas](having asked the bodyshop to charge the battery overnight, no probs they said....). Got there, owner was away, battery hadn't been charged up and car was dead.

So, got the battery fast-charged but still wouldn't start. So got my mate up to jump-start me, then found the ignition switch is defo gone, rally have to wrestle with key to get her to catch. So kept her running, went up to petrol station, gave her £30 of V-power, seeme to be running smooth, but gearbox starting to feel "difficult".

Garages are all shut now so can't get her sorted before xmas and most not open now until the 3rd of January, so although got car back from the bodyshop it really hasn't improved matters at all if not exacerbated them ! And I'm still stuck without transport !
