  1. I'm afraid I'd have to disagree with most of the comments about the Honda CRX. I always wanted a CRX (before I wanted a Corrado), saved for ages, bought a nice one (1.6i-16V), and was pleased with the car. Great looks, handling, reliable, bulletproof engine and all for a reasonable price. Several respected motoring magazines and reviewers have stated in the past that the CRX was one of the top three front-wheel drive handling cars around (of its generation). And I agree..., Never had major problems with mine and always fun to drive, and YES I do still miss it. Don't knock it guys, they are just as popular as the Corrado and have as much of a cult following,

    Problem located with the intercooler, or rather lack of it as the connecting pipe has fractured off at the junction where it meets the core. Darren where are you...,? So no running it around just now I guess till its replaced completely,

  3. Hi all,

    I just got my G60 back from the dealer yesterday after they refitted the R1-supercharger and Rallye outlet. However, I cannot take the car over 3000 rpm for 500 limes to really test it. It would seem at the moment that there is a distinct lack of boost even at low revs. The outlet rubber hose will not reinflate itself when the engine starts. Also there is a whooshing / hissing noise present which which louder and louder on acceleration and is really annoying me! If anyone has any ideas they would be more than welcome..,

    Am pretty sure that I read somewhere that the 6-speed box from the Mk4 TDi Golf can be used with the G60. Will do a search and get the info for you if I can,

    I have a custom induction kit fitted to my G60 with a mandrel bent custom stainless induction pipe, massive custom K+N element and Jabba heatshield,

     

    It does the business...,but may look at relocating it in the wing in the future..,

     

    Watch this space, might need my local metal fabricator to help make summat up..,

    Check this out as its the spec of the fastest MR2 in Aberdeen. Its owned by a chap from Peterhead who works for the RAF. AFAIK it's a Veilside Kitted MR2 Mark II GLIMITED twin entry turbo model with the following extras and is putting out around 300 BHP and does 12.5 standing quarters

     

    It has:

    HKS induction kit, super sound blow off valve.

    TRD Dials, delimeter chip and fuel controller

    Greddy Gauges and Dual Stage Solenoids (low - hi boost...low 10psi hi 18psi, fully adjustable for more boost if needed)

    Blits Intercooler

    Hyabusa super light weight perfomance racing exhaust (full system)

    What else engine wise...erm?...probably missed sumthin, but to be honest my priority is the exterior looks

    Needs a rechip - Greddy / APEXI ?

     

    Oh and BTW I considered one before I bought my C and they are very easy to tune with 300BHP possible for around £1000. Very quick and good handling and quite different IMHO

    Reckon I have a burst pipe somewhere or one of the charger seals has gone, as have a massive loss of boost..., :(

     

    cant see any holes tho or any mess and all junctiona sdeem to be ok

     

    Oh well help, I need my baby sorted out soon!!
