  1. 'find a friendly MOT man'...... my ars  If the rear seats are removed , then the rear belts are no longer SEAT belts... they are just straps with buckles......Therefore the vehicle does not require any fitting.. same goes for front pasenger belt. So.... Remove the seats at time of test , and you will get an advisory note stating that the seats were missing at the time of test . All above board and legal.. If the vehicle presenter decides to fit seats in AFTER the vehicle has been tested , then it's on his toes..... not mine ;-) Registration plates held on with velcro will pass the test , as will side-repeaters . As long as they are ' secure' and work at time of test . Congratulations Lee.. Very good feature on a top motor .. Those pics really do justice to your car , and thanks very muchly for dropping off a copy of the mag . Are you gonna be going to the GTi thingy at Harewood ? We are gonna take the mk2 golf Gti there to see if we can sell it . BTW... IMHO the best bit of the feature is the sentence that contains my name and ' owes a few beers ' pmsl...
  2. The C with the spoiler down
  3. joebloggsvr69, do you live near Duke's Avenue? Its just my aunt lives there and the other day she said she saw a car that was identical to mine
  4. Hi, I took out a Civic type-R before I bought my C and really didn't like it, performance was good but just something wasn't right for me. Also I see about three on the way to work and loads in the car park, whereas I very rarely ever see a Corrado. As for Mods i've left mine standard and am very happy with it, oh and sod running costs you don't know what you're missing

Thanks for your help guys, just can't figure out why a mint car would have something as important as that missing  Should have checked really, guess i'll get a set from the scrappy

    Tools

Hi guys, was just wondering where are the Corrado's tools such as the jack, screwdriver, wheel brace etc? I assumed (i've never looked) that they would be in the centre of the spare wheel, I looked and there was nothing there, am i being thick or are they somewhere else, or has the previous owner forgot to back in? Thanks

    Wheels

Sorry if this has been shown before but found this website which shows all the wheels you could get for that beloved car we all drive.
  10. I gotta admit that I was a bit nervous , and my 'pot-hole alert' was set to maximum... But wouldn't yours be ? Lee . Still got two tins of stuff belonging to you at the garage , and one small job to finish . Saturday afty is good if you ain't busy . Or just about any tea-time .
  11. How many people would be jealous if I was to tell them that I've been behind the wheel a time or two ? :notworthy:
  12. Nice car Lee . I might print off a few pics and put them on the walls in my new office when it's finished . Then customers can sit and drool while I'm destroying their own motors  Anyone who hasn't seen this car in the flesh really should make an effort to do so . I've been over every inch of it , and TBH , in my opinion there ain't really much that can be improved . One word of warning tho ...... There is a DALEK in the boot
  13. One night I had just parked up outside a pub one and as i was getting out two blokes walked past, and one of them looked at the badges and said 'Christ they're like shit off a shovel aren't they?' to which i replied (really didn't know what to say) 'err yeah they're alright' and then walked into the pub with a big grin on my face And the other day I was picking up a mate at a VW garage and the manager came running over to look at it saying how much he loved them and asking what the mileage was etc and told me that they had four storms when they came out and said they were impossible to sell
  14. Not sure but that looks like Hockenheim, can't work out whether i like the styling or not

    4 pots of joy!!

hhhhmmmmmm.. I could mebbe do a picture diary thingy on how to fit a set of HUGE brakes to a VR ... Including ALL the problems you are likely to encounter in the process , such as the new braided hoses being too short , the new caliper mounting bracket bolts being the wrong thread , caliper-bracket bolt-holes not being tapped correctly , hose-caliper banjo bolt being too short , anti-rattle springs missing from the kit , caliper touching back of disc and the need for spacers to rectify the problem , how to work out how wide the caliper spacers need to be ( and where to get them custom made in SS ) , etc etc etc ;-) . Let me know if you want me to do a 'how to' on the subject . wow.. 15 mins to midnight.. i'd better be orf to my bed before the scarey creatures come out to play............
