Which Dipstick?

Yes yours is a S chassis which would be manufactured in 95. What is the part number of the dipstick you have fitted, see my photos above mine also is a S chassis and is red but looks the same as the orange one. I believe the Late dipstick was the same as the Mk3 and other 2.8 VR6 blocks like passat, sharan, so the same for a 2.8 or 2.9 block, however confusingly different part numbers. Just look at the two types for sale on VW Heritage to see the visual difference. I have my engine number on a sticker next to the fuel lines above the aux belt , maybe yours is still there to, however this is only proof that the head is the original part of the engine, the late Vr6 has an engine number stamped on the lower part of engine block and early models on the side I believe. 4. It wont be because you have a Pierberg pump and sender, you need to ask them is is compatible with your VDO sending unit you have spare. Also what bar is it . The thread says you can no longer get a pump for a pierberg sender, correct me if I'm wrong folks but this was addressed many pages ago by Fend.
5. I don't think the JP will fit, he will have to fit the new JP pump with its swirl pot and pop on the VDO sender and hope it fits.
6. Just so you are aware that company is based in Germany but they did deliver my VDO pump within a week to be fair to them , but they can be hit and miss. I would call JP group direct if you can to find out the Bar Pressure, straight out the horses mouth.
7. They have all the special equipment to fault test so makes sense Rob , also I can tell its getting on your nerves so just bite the bullet and get her booked in.
8. Im changing my pump and refurbishing the injectors because of the mixture adaption fault code (exceeding), however mine sometimes stalls reversing uphill from a cold start and sometimes you get a smell of petrol from cold start. All ready checked for vacuum leak changed whole exhaust including manifold, cat and down pipe gaskets that needed doing anyway. Fuel pressure regulator Mass Air Sensor Reckon yours could be the same. 9. JP Pump £32 https://www.buycarparts.co.uk/jp-group/8172201
10. Could have a punt on this says 4 bar. https://www.buycarparts.co.uk/johns/11581546
11. Why not just find out if the JP pump is 4 bar which Heritage advertised as and then install it with your VDO sender, all in £50 or so, from my experience trying other stuff will cost more in the long run.
12. Ok mate just make sure you have road side assistance if your going to have a punt on a £20 pump.

Good day

So you have the tag by the airbox to ? I sort of like Black Magic or shall we just call them the VOO DOO RADO :thumbleft:

Good day

It's a rare colour for a Corrado but became mainstream on future VAG products, mine had a spray job four years ago by the last owner so you never know that tag might not be VW but that of the spray shop, if you take the air box out you can see it on my wing. Has anyone else got one of the paint tags ? Vince at Stealth has got one in Brilliant Black.

Good day

Same as mine LC9Z chap it is known as Black Magic and quite a rare colour I believe rarer then Storm colours Ive been told as was also a run out paint option. This is my paint tag on the front drivers wing, you can just make out the last few digits.
21. Perfect night blue is the best colour in the MK7 range and also I would take a GTI over a R because I prefer the branding and looks, quad exhaust look over kill on a R IMO.

Which Dipstick?

This is weird just checked my dipstick as its red and a late 95 VR6 . It looks the same shape as the late version dipstick on VW Heritage but has part number like the early dipstick part number but last letter is an L , any advice folks ? Late dipstick https://www.vwheritage.com/021115607-oil-dipstick-for-vr6-vw-spare My dipstick part looks like part number 021 115 611 L
23. JP Group pump on their website same as VW Heritage but no mention of bar pressure . VW Hertiage might of used the VDO sender with it not sure. https://www.jpgroupclassic.com/product/?id=1115202700 Would be interesting to see if this is actually a 4 bar and if they supply a sender to hummm.
24. Your chassis number used the Pierberg 4 bar pump. So you will need a sender and pump as you can no longer get a Pierberg pump as Fen mentioned . Your looking around £230 for VDO pump and sender or I reckon about £110 for the JP group but you will have to make some calls to JP Group to find out the part number of the sender and cost because VW Heritage are charging way too much and sold out . http://www.oemepc.com/vw/part_single/catalog/vw/markt/RDW/modell/COR/year/1995/drive_standart/76/hg_ug/931/subcategory/213010/part_id/3706612/lang/e
25. So he needs a new sender and a 4 bar pump , either the JP set up or VDO.
