1.5 years, started life as a 1.8 16v and 6 months later I had to drop in a modded G60. Its an addiction!

I have a problem with my lights too. Just bought two new headlights and installed them. The light emitted is practically the same as the old ones so I've invested in a loom. The main problem is that when I pull the stalk to put on the high beam, they go to high for a split second and the blue light goes on in the dash. When I release the stalk the beam goes down to somewhere between regular beam and high beam, and the blue light on the dash becomes faint, that is lighter than it was on high beam. When I pull it again it goes back to regular beam and the faint blue light goes out on the dash. I have had the stalk replaced recently with a new one and had a electrical VW stealer look at it and he can't see the problem. My question is why doesn't it stay at the original full beam when pulled as this is the proper full beam!

What is it with my horn(car that is!).. Some days it works fine, then it decides to stop working and when I press it it just clicks. Now it has stopped all together!! Help.

Bought 2 headlights from ECP. Came in 2 days and were half the price the stealers were qouting and that was including delivery to Dublin.

You know you wanna go G60! Seriously though Stoph, once you start spending...... I started with a standard 1.8 16v, thought I'd be happy and now have a G60!! It's an addiction.

They are Hella ones from a 1989 model. I bought them second hand. Another thing is the brackets that keep it screwed on to the car were broken on the new one. They must have been damaged in transit. Rather then send them back I did a bit of a DIY job on it. I took both new and old light apart and replaced the casing on the new with the old. Didn't realise that everything comes apart and swaps quite easily. SO basically I now have one useful headlight on offer. The left side.

So would you recommend the B&M Majik? And how long did it take you to fit in the end. Think Venom are selling them for about £105.

Thanks Dazzy and G60, going on the hunt today. Want to see what the difference is. Think I may be buying a loom anyway cause the regular lighting is so sh1t. Btw way G60, the reason I bought my new lights was the cowboy who sent me the original ones sent me lefties. Are you looking for spares? 146.

Well, I just bought new headlights for my C. Can anybody recommend bulbs to buy for them. I thought of buying a new loom but was told by ECP that if I bought new lights I wouldn't need the loom. What do you guys think? Cheers.

Got one before qnd sent my car into the stealers to get some electric work done. When it came back my lights were very very dim. On closer inspection I realised they had taken out the loom. When I rang them back they told me they had taken out some 'useless wire'....doh! Moral of the story?

Decided to invest in a whole new set of lights for the front of my C. Anyone got any recommendations on a package and price. I see GPC are doing them so I'll ring them, any other suggestions? Cheers, Baz.

Car looks great. Would love to know how he does the tail lights. I have a red one myself and don't think the in-pros would suit mine. Baz.
