I will add my thanks to roddy for a great day! Got 210bhp out of the VR (miltek and k+n). Normal unleaded fuel but with some STP octane (could be cheating) Anyway still a good run. Looking forward to the next one. cheers again paul -

i'd say from showcase itll be an hour and 15 maybe an hour and a half. Don't take me saying i'll make my own way up the wrong way- it just sounds like it would be too much hassle for me to be there for that time. cheers for now paul -
thanks again guys. i feel a wee bit more at ease now. will keep an eye on water etc. can look forward to sunday now!!! cheers again paul

cheers guys so you reckon it is ok. could the wet cold weather have something to do with it? I'm not bothered as long as it isn;t major. cheers for the advice.

I think you are only an hour and a half away from star if you are meeting on the east side of glasgow. that gets you there for 10 easy!!!!!! I may just make my own way up as i would need to leave home at about 7.45 to be there for half eight. me and glen were thinking of leaving at about half eight from largs and that will get us there for half ten ish cheers Paul -
Help, Checked oil in my vr6 the other day to find mayo under the filler cap (emulsified oil). Topped it up and wiped it off. Got to work today and there was more there so i just left it. When i got back it wasn't there anymore. I know this could be the head gasket but it still goes like a train. Is there anything else it could be or am i just not able to admit the truth. Anyone have any idea of the cost of a head gasket fitted. Not looking forward to rolling road day so much now! All these things seem to happen at once. any help cheers Paul

Got back to the car today after only leaving it a short while to find the windows mist up. started the car and put blowers on to sort it and while it was clearing i had a feel around the footwells. The passenger one is sodden. any ideas on what might be causing this? anything i can be looking for? any solutions? please cheers Paul

cheers will look more carefully but i am sure the rust is starting on the braking surface but as i say i will have a closer look. did copperslip them when fitted but will keep that in mind cheers. paul

surely 63 and 80K miles is nothing. i thought they needed 75KJ just to break them in! cheers Paul

I fitted new discs and pads to my car last weekend as it was due. Around the inside edge of the discs there was about 1/2 inch where the pad was not gripping and so the disc had started to rust. Now I see that the same is beginning on the new ones. Not nearly as bad yet but any ideas? Also got some squealing from them today. Is this them just bedding in? Any help please. cheers Paul

looked at 4x4 calibra turbo a couple of cars ago. when we went out it kept wanting to drive to one side of the road. decided against that one!
-
this may be a silly point but i was of the opinion that it takes 75K to break these engines in completely? cheers paul
