so according to vw coolant should never need changing. Is there much point in changing it then.
-
ok guys give me a clue. Changing coolant on the Vr6 is it as simple as any other car i.e. open expansion tank and remove bottom hose or what? Any advice please cheers Paul

this reminds me of a recent thread where the general conclusion was that on the road it is not the fastest who will win but the driver who is prepared to be the biggest plonker and take the most risks. not meant to offend just my 2p worth paul

top gear last night were talking about a cobra system that can send you a sms/fax or email. -
i doubt it is water getting in through the k+n since the water would have to get in between the bonnet and wing and then drop down to the filter then go up again to gat in the engine because of the way the filter slopes down. i think will try the scooshing water at it in the dark and see what happens. cheers Paul

In my humble opinion if you are going to spend that money then go for the storm. THere is twice the miliage on it but it is still barely broken in (i've heard 75K is the mark) 8.5 is a bit steep but as joe says the miles are v low. i know you are just really paying for the strom badge cause there ain't a lot of difference but they are still very rare. just my 2p cheers Paul

Anyone everytime we get a bit of rain (all the time) my vr6 seems to have a slight missfire down low. After a wee run everything is fine once its up to temperature and dried out i assume. I'm not pushing it on before 80 degrees and am curious if anyone has any suggestions. When warm runs great and revs right out smoothly and was recently roaded at 192bhp with no mods. Am i paranoid or what? Any suggestions welcome. cheers Paul

if I do go i think it will be through Kilmarnock. 20 miles/ minutes difference accorking to aa. DO have other arrangements that weekend though that i had forgotten about so will need to wait and see. cheers Paul
