  1. I had 2 of these gauges in my car, volts and oil pressure (PSI), both are for sale with senders for £25 if anyone is interested..
  2. Did you know they make their own cider, called the "Fawcett Inn Cider" Used to me my local at Uni that boozer :)
  3. I would imagine my 153 BHP will not be a problem for this mount... Sadly for safetys sake I think i'll get rid of it go back to the standard mount. Real bummer man, I loved that mount as well!
  4. Top Gear managed to film their runs... so not a blanket ban then :) Have a great run round the ring!
  5. Not had a chance for a good long run, but first impressions are good. It starts and idles better but one thing I have noticed is that it is smoother to drive.. So all in all, it was worthwhile :) I've got a good long run downt he M3 on Saturday morning so that'll be the teller. Thanks again for your help all!!
  6. Well, all sorted. Sprayed the WD40 onto the injector o rings and they slipped right in!! Many thanks all for the advice, simple job with direction!

    KR Inlet Cam

I had mine done at Yaash, cost me £50 (I supplied the parts)
  8. Cheers David, I'll check that :)
  9. Washing up liquid eh... mmmm Was going to get the missus KY out but that'll do nicely. I lube it up and give it a good ramming home in the appropriate hole... and then go do my injectors...
  10. Tell you what Phil, they are so tight I snapped a rat tail file trying to lever the bugger into the Inlet manifold last night, they are as tight as a ducks ar5e. Just worried about applying too much pressure to the metal fuel lines as they do seem to bend... It had a good 16 stone of weight pushing on it last night and it just did not budge... I will however try some lubrication :) Really weird as the other 2 went in fine...
  11. With regards to Oil Pressue - Is it mechanical or Electrical? I believe you can plug the Oil pressure sender into the topof the Oil Filter Housing. Use the "Search" mate there is a load of info on this sort of stuff.. mainly asked by me...
  12. Well bugger me, there really are people out there with no brain and are happy to advertise it on the internet.. this guy is clearly an oxygen theif and should drive his corsa off a cliff. Maybe if he reclines the front seats as well he'll fly....
  13. Cheers lads, I'll give those ideas a go today :)
  14. Well, just changed them and it's very straight forward, took me about 30 min to change the lot. They just pull out, there were no clips, but... two injectors went in fine and the rubber "o" rings seated into the inlet manifold, but the last two would not go in at all and man I put some force on them. Any ideas how to push them in? The car runs ok, but I'm guessing the last two injectors need to me pushed in harder.. most odd :)
  15. davidwort, good question, my C also passed its last MOT no probs and has low CO emissions and is very economic (40 - 44 MPG on the motorway at 80mph), plus it goes well. BUT, it just doesn't run as smooth as it did when I first got it (even before the mods to the engine). Reading through this forum, changing the injectors is a good thing to do when you suffer the symptons I've got (probs starting, running a little rough sometimes etc...) so, I decided that'd be the next purchase. Aye it's alot of money, but thats what owning a C is all about :)
  16. Bugger... would've been nice if that sorted it. Sounds electrical to me, let us know how the spark check goes mate.
  17. Did you sprayed WD40 onto the electricals? Sometimes helps disperse the water...
  18. Yeah, I was thinking about those but not sure if they were KR or 9A, I think they are KR judging by Bighands (?) comments.... I didn't think to ask the seller... kerrinmay, lol I have the same with my other half, just do it, take the heat later and console yourself with the fact your car goes better ;)
  19. Cheers davidwort, The ol' expanding metal when hot eh :) I plan to do it tonight when I get back from work so engine should be warm, cheers for the headsup though dude, I didn't even think of that! kerrinmay, I was going to go for some performance injectors but my cars chip has been mapped by "Stealth" and it might need a new map if I put performace injectors in. So I have opted to go for standard ones from GSF. The reason I'm changing them is that my car is running a little too lean and seems to suffer the symptons of a vaccum leak (dodgey idle, rough running on full throttle etc...). I've had everything checked and I suspect (reading numerous comments from the guys & gals on here) that my injectors are the issue. Plus as Phil, says my car has also done over 100K and its about time they got changed. Hope this helps!
  20. Cheers Phil :) Yup got the injector "O" Rings as well so I'll have a stab at that tonight... weather depending... kerrinmay, I'll drop you a PM with my experiences once I've changed them.
  21. Hi All, I've used the search and found some good stuff on injectors and replacing injectors, but mainly for the KR 16v, not the 9A 16v which I have.... From what I can gather you simply pull the current injectors out of the Inlet manifold, unscrew the injectors from the fuel pipe and reverse the procedure with the new injectors... job done Does this sound right? Are there any clips which hold the injectors in at all? Anyone out there able to offer a mechanical novice some advise :) Cheers
  22. My valver: Its never broken down on me, in the 6 years of ownership it has only failed 2 MOT's (bearing and drive shaft). Driving sensibly I get about 22 - 27 MPG around town and 44 MPG on the motorway if crusing at 3500 RPM (85 mph) (according my my computer). The valver is a solid reliable car, looks faster than it is, (my only disappointment with the valver was the 0-60, its woeful) but it is a fun car to drive, handles well and mid range poke is fun. If you get a valver you can mod them quite cheaply to make them quicker and the most important thing, you need to keep this forum in mind when you have problems or questions, this site is invaluable and as important to owning a corrado as fuel is to keep it running! For your insurance try Bell Direct, they were good to me and when you add mods they are £5/ year / mod, bargin IMO.
  23. Dosen't look bad mate, I've got an ice white LED in mine but thinking about blue so cheers for posting up the piccies, food for thought... I notice your sunroof switch is dfferent, is that a Passat part?
  24. Hiya quicky1980, I have the following bit of kit, but I am missing a working Sunroof switch in it... PM me if you want it dude:
  25. Just to throw a spanner in the works I called Venom about their door pulls "Part ID: 839207". They told me they are from the Early Interior Corrado's. Do the other VW door pulls fit the later interior C?
