Welcome to the forum, sounds like a pretty cool story :) I never thought I would say this :lol: but it would be a shame to see a G60 engine discarded unless it was a wreck. You can stick alternative/modern engines in them but I think it will kill a lot of the character a G60 has to be honest.

Knowledge of Mk3 Cabrio's .... pretty poor - but I would suggest you're going to need a Corrado/VR6 loom or you'll spend a long time trying to wire it all up.

No worries. Just using the basic search, enter "dash removal" - took about 30 seconds to find that thread. The fogs/indicator section is usually a clue as to early/late as well. Not necessarily a early/late defining 'feature' but early door handles are totally flush whereas late have a raised lip around the lock barrel. There are loads of little changes here and there and no particular cut-off date either. So there are some complete mongrel cars out there in terms of genetic makeup.

I must be alone in thinking that they're an ugly version of the Corrado Recaro then! :grin: However, I do think they're quite nice, and certainly an improvement on the looks of cloth.
