If Chrome is a bit too basic, you could always try Firefox which is also a very good browser. http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/ You could also try installing/running Adaware and Spybot S&D. I suspect you've just got a ton of spyware on your PC.

A couple of quick suggestions that you should be able to do pretty easily. 1) Right click on your c:drive and select properties. Hit disk cleanup and when it gives you options to select, hit them all and then hit ok. 2) Goto the control panel and select internet options. In there will be an option to delete browsing history, temp files, cookies etc. You should be able to select things not to delete like saved passwords etc though.

Bear in mind that the software is totally different to what the forum was running on before. If something has changed, odds are it's not particularly because we've chosen to change it. Status - as above. You can either donate again and it should change automatically or if that upsets you :) just ask and we can manually change it. The rest of the questions are coming from your end though - depending on your browser and settings. Have you tried dumping all your browsing history and cached/temp settings? Have you tried different browsers to trace the problem? As you've said, if your layout is different to everyone else, odds are it's you that has to fix something :)

Even if you can't remember the email address you signed up with, it's your email address so can't you just retrieve the password reminder? Anyway, the old email address is same domain as you're on now plus something to do with your current username and design. I presume that's sufficient for you to figure it out? The main thing is the username and password. Username is further back in this thread and password should be waiting in your email account. Steve, yep the addresses are different but same domain. I'm confident it's the same user. He should just be able to log in to the original account though and I'll lock the dupe.

I've emailed you a password reminder. The login username might be case sensitive so be wary of that.

Rather than having multiple accounts, have you contacted an Admin to sort the problem out? Why can't you sign in under your existing account?

It always did on the old forum and always should on this forum. It's just default setting here was not to allow 3 letter searches so when you change that setting you have to re-index the entire site (as Andi pointed out) so it then knows all of the 3 letter words that have ever been used. Considering the use of the word 'ham' you can imagine it takes quite a while ;)
