getting some bodywork done next week do i 1 remove the side protectors ? 2 colour code the handles or any other advice would be welcome cheers paul

hi woody , i have koni coil overs and i was recently at trax (silverstone) and i koni guy gave me his number where you can buy the c spanners and adjuster knobs (really diffuicut to get hold of, i rang koni uk who said we dont deal with the public, then i rang a dealer who said koni wont supply them :( ), i'll find the number and post it if your interested

cant you just replace the bearings in the belt tensioner pulley ?? i'm sure they are just skf bearings ? did you notice any signs of this going before it went , was it noisy at all , i mean like weeks before ? you would expect the bearings to make a noise to give you warning

where are you going to fit them ? do you have the cowling for them ?

i'll find out for you , the guy who's spraying the car said his mate does retrims in leather in buckley so i'll get the info for you price wise he seems cheaper than i thought, the car is generally ok but its showing signs of its age as in parking dinks along the doors and peppered with stone chips on the bonnet and front wings also the sunroof is scratched where it went haywire on the previous owner so he's going to sort it out and he said nothing will stay on (expect the rear windows), doors off mirrors off etc etc and i told him i want the inside of the doors doing ( the inside sill) he said £600 i said when can you do it :) he wants the car for a week, which is ok as i'm in france with work from next week 8)

if he's any good i'll give you a shout daz :)
