Its been nearly a month since I sent back the IMO wrong quality mats !!!!! Ive just come home from work and ive had an email from Jeremy - Hi J The mats arrived today and we can say that they are the same as your returned ones, this confirms that our supplier has used the Deluxe quality on both sets. We re ordered the set on your instructions so as not to discredit your claim but there is a noticable difference between the Classic and the Deluxe once both are infront of you. Also be aware that our supplier purchases his materials from various sources and there will be differences in quality especially if you purchse a large amount and once finished find the same quality is no longer available. Our policy is that the customer comes first and we will always endeavour to help or correct mistakes. We charge different for every quality and never have or will supply other than what has been paid for so whether there is a large or minor difference in quality the prices do not change. I have included a picture of both mats side by side but even though it will be difficult to notice the difference, your original mats are on the left and the new set now has a larger heelpad. We do hope this is satisfactory and you will be happy with your mats. Regards Jeremy JustMatzUK Ltd So ive just this minute spoken to Jeremy and had quite a long argument lol Point 1 - He says that Justmatz has NO control over the quality of the carpet used in the mats. The quality can change at the suppliers discretion top quality stuff might be the same as what the low quality mats were the week before :? :? BUT they still charge the same (IMO a lot of money) no matter what quality they receive !!!! Now If I was running a Co then I wouldn’t be very happy about this and would find another supplier. By the looks of it the supplier is still using the bad quality roll for both my sets but Jeremy wouldn’t comment on that lol Point 2 - Ive checked on my order and confirmed with Jeremy + Dave via email (which I still have here) and phone over the past few weeks that I hadnt ordered a heel pad. Then in the email above he says "We re ordered the set on your instructions" + "the new set now has a larger heel pad" WTF !!!!!!!!!!! I DIDNT WANT/ORDER A HEEL PAD !!!!!!!!!!!!! SO if the supplier got the order wrong with the heel pad then whets to say that they got the carpet quality wrong as well :headbash: :headbash: :headbash: All Jeremy said to this was NO !!! lol Conclusion - They are going to cut off the Incorrect heel pad !!!! send me the new mats with a cheque for the return postage and a 10% discount (I think I got the discount because he wanted to get me off the phone :D ) Basically Im still not happy as I wanted some quality mats for my car and in all honesty you can buy the exact same quality mats in ASDA as the ones im getting for £60 from Justmatz I wont be buying from them again !!!!!!!!!!

Im thinking 1.8t power atm but I change my mind on a weekly basis    My g/f has a 20vt in her Passat and I love the power. My mate has one in his Bora and Corrado, he says its 100% better in a C 8)

Ive got a small thread about my car on a Car audio forum and one of the guys on there recognised my car from years ago :D He's posted these pics from the No-Rice Oct 2002 meet You cant see the whole car but it looks in a bad way !!!!!!!!!!!!!  I had to dig all the filler out of the door where the OE mirrors used to be and weld in some plates 8)

We got a new ign switch from VW yesterday and Ive just fitted it ..................... NO CHANGE still wont start from the key  The starter just clicks once then nothing. Again I still dont recommend doing this but if you take a + feed straight from the batt to the starter then it will turn the car over but will not start til you pull that feed away    Is there a relay for the starter and does anyone know which one it is please :D
-
Ive just called the dealers and a new one is £20 inc vat. Ill get Chris (who’s car it is) to pop down and get one 8)
-
How much is an ign switch and do you know the part number :D
-
I hope so  I waited ages for them to arrive then sent them back last week and now they wont answer my emails  They were sent back rec del and Royal Mails website says that they got them last Friday !!!!!
-
Has anybody had a BAD experience from Justmatz ....... and was it sorted out ???? They have screwed up my order !!!! Had the mats back (at my expense) that ive waited 6 weeks for and wont answer my calls/emails !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!   It’ll probably get sorted in the end Im just frustrated at spending over £70 and they get it wrong
-
Well we still aren’t much closer to finding out what this is  BUT I have found that if you take a cable straight from the batt + (I dont recommend trying this tbh) and touch the small + on the starter then it turns the engine over much stronger than via the key BUT (2) its still wont start til you disconnect the power while turning it over   Ive a feeling that one of the problems is not enough power getting to the starter but the battery is fully charged !!!!! As above I think its gonna be either a relay or the ign switch so we're gonna start at the relay but I dont know which one it is  Help

I got my car 2 years ago like this - This is it now -

Cheers guys :D The engine pic above is my new desktop background 8) Its taken quite a lot of time to get it looking half decent. When I look back at the pics of how it used to look   Stan It was surprisingly warm at the meet but not as may cars as I thought there would bee !! lol You can get arrested for saying that on the street  Hellraiser I used to have a Seat front splitter that had holes in the front that my ind slotted into. I’ve only just put the OE splitter on so I still need to find somewhere to put them  Bally Thanks mate. I found a 90mm splitter after you said it would look better ........ I think you were right 8)

A friend of mine bought a '91 1.8 16v last week. The bodywork is spot on and the engine runs perfect when it starts !!!!! It would turn over for a bit then nothing. Connected it up to my car with jump leads and it started. New battery/coil/starter/Ht leads/rotor arm + cap later and we still have the starting problem but have found that if you turn the key and keep it turned then 60% of the time the engine turns over and then as soon as you release the key the engine starts perfectly      The other 40% you turn the key and you can hear the starter click but then nothing  This could be a weak battery as we keep trying to get it started  Im out of ideas atm so any help would be appreciated :D Cheers

I think   that the 1.8 version just clips/slides onto the top of the fuel lines and the 2.0 one uses 2 bolts on the front of it to attach. I preferred the look of the 2.0 one so used double sided sticky pads

Took my car for its MOT at 4 today and considering that it had half the front suspension missing @ 2pm (top mounts !!!!) im surprised it made it there in time  Passed with no problems 8) Its the first time ive taken a car for a MOT and its passed straight away. Garages always seem to find some thing really minor to fail me on !!!! Another Corrado still on the road for at least another year :D 8) Im quite happy atm :multi:
-
I am  They didnt have any in stock and i had to get the car to the MOT at 4  PS- It passed 8) 8) 8)

Ive been out and got some new top mounts this morning and when I took the old ones off I got a bit of a shock. Old on left brand new on right   I think they are knackered but TBH ive no idea what’s damaged them round the edges like that !!!!!!!!!! The bearings seem ok though but I haven’t put the new ones on yet so I dont know if they were the problem
-
Thanks guys ill get some new ones tomorrow :D What would the car feel like if the top mounts were shot as I cant find anything else wrong and im not 100% sure that its going to be them
-
I think my top mounts might be shot  Driving down the road the front of the car feels really vague and makes a clunk sounds like something is loose !!!!!! Its been getting worse over the last few days so ive had the front jacked up today and checked all the bolts to see if anything is loose but all seems ok. When the top mounts are attached to the top of the strut should it be able to wobble side to side a few mm cos mine are  I know my top mounts are old and I was gonna change them soon but does it sound like they have gone ????? Also can I use VR6 top mounts as replacements ?? Cheers
