  1. bake them in the oven on a very low heat, it may soften the glue enough to pull them apart, its how I take apart headlights and things so could work with the rears

 Knowing me ill end up with 4 big melted blobs of plastic

  2. Im looking for recommendations for keeping my polished rims shinny during the winter. I don’t have any other wheels to use and it only takes a couple of days to ruin my hard work of polishing them.

Im using autosol and get a really good finish that doesn’t last very long.

    What are you guys using.

  3. My earth is attached to the rear seatbelt bolt and so ive got a really good earth but its a massive cable.

In the past ive used a self tapper and drilled in to the boot floor being careful not to go through anything and painting over the screw so as it wont rust

I cant really say about amp mounting as mine are under a false floor in the boot......

  4. The rocker cover was a guess, It could have either been the R/C gasket or the valve stem oil seal so i changed the gasket cos that was the cheapest fix first and it was just lucky that it was that and not the seals.

  5. I found oil on my mates valvers No 2 plug and it turned out to be a broken rocker cover gasket. £10 from GSF and it took me about an hour to fit as id never done one before. Easy now that ive done it.......

  6. seen several rado's fitted with eibach braces, they look the dogs!

I have Mk2 Golf Eibach brace on mine and a huge tube one (unknown make) in the back.

Eibach are really good quality if your getting one.

  7. Saw 2 today in Huddersfield  1 blue/black in multi storey car park, might have been JBOB, second was a red G60(?) parked at bottom of Northumblerland street. Looked standard exept for wheels. Both of these were at about 2.45 today

I was at work in Bradford today so it wasnt me :( but im gonna keep my eye out for the other blue/black C in Hudds :D .

The red one at Northumberland street is a valver i think.

  8. Hi just a quick question for you as i can really find anything on the search.

On my 16v how easy is it to change the alternator belt and the powersteering belt (i assume the ps belt is the smaller one next to the alt one).

Do i need any special tools etc as ive changed alt belts before but the other belt is in the way and cant really see how to get it off as its always dark when i have a chance to look....

Just want to make sure of things before i make a start.

    Thanks J
