  1. Ive just renewed my insurance with Performance direct. £380 fully comp :D 8) I paid £550 with them last year and again every other company wanted at least £100 more  (2 years NCB, Garaged, 26 years old, Cat1 Alarm etc etc) £380 inc all my mods even the air ride which I thought might take it up a bit  I feel old now that my insurance is less than £500

    angel eye Heatlight

Angel eye units plug into the cars loom and have there own loom inside (just like OE lights) they use 2x H7's as Supercharged said :D
  3. He told me that her paid about £1300 for this kit but on http://www.rayvern.bigfathead.com there's kits for £800 8)
  4. Thanks guys :D 8) Goldie Got the Mag. Cheers mate :D C. Will Corrado G60 2 The ride is much much better than I thought it would be from the OLD stuff id read about air ride. Its still quite expensive though but I managed to p/x my coilovers for the air ride from a mate in Leeds who had it on his car for about 12 months. He put wider wheels on (10's I think he said  ) and they rubbed through one of the rear bags, so he got me two new ones for the back. I got 2 2.5l tanks with the kit so I bought another 10l one. The two small ones fit under the false floor in the boot and the larger one behind the rear seats. Still loads of room for my sub/amp's Jay I set the height that I would do 99% of my driving at and had the tracking done. Ive got a PSI gauge with the control switches so I know what pressure I need the bags to be at that height. Seems to be working so far

    Stub axle

I wouldnt have thought that would be very safe ........ £110 = maybe not

    Stub axle

I hope its not the rear axle beam !!!!! and £110 for the stub ...... is that from VAG ? It wasnt a hard bump and I assume the stub is weaker than the beam so it should bend first (fingers crossed  )

    Stub axle

The stupid idiot that is me  reversed in the carpark at work this morning and just slightly knocked the offside rear wheels against a curb. Now it was only a very slight bump but now the wheel doesn’t look straight, it looks like its pointing inwards as if ive got slight toe in on one rear wheel  A mate at work says its gonna be a bent stub axle !!!! So how hard is it to change and do I need to change more than one part or just this - 43806D STUB AXLE-REAR RH CO 9/88 > Rear Disc Brakes £42.50 Ive done most things on car's before but not one of these !!
  10. Thanks :D Id say that the air ride kit im using is just as good as the Koni coilovers that I had on before, that’s probably because the kit uses Koni struts 8) The ride is a bit strange at first though as its feels really firm round the corners like a decent set of coils but you dont get any of the crashing on the potholes, just really nice and smooth. I think that as with everything now you get what you pay for. Yep you can adjust the height to what ever you want while moving I used to have to go the long way round to work because of some major pyramid type speed humps ...... not a problem now

    Front bumper

Plastic welding then a thin skim of filler/fibre glass is the only way to do it properly !!!!! I got a bodyshop to do mine as id probably screw it up but im told that plastic welding is really easy  I know someone who filled the holes of a Mk3 with blocks of wood, god only knows how much filler over the top then varnished the wood that poked out the back of the bumper    Only took a week to crack
  14. After seeing my mate try and smooth his Mk3 Golf bumper with filler  which cracked within a week  I got a local small bodyshop to do it. Its plastic welded and it hasnt cracked etc in the last year that ive had it done. The car get used every day so I think if it was gonna go then it would have by now  The bodyshop that did it hadnt done a Corrado bumper before so only charged me £120 inc painting it 8)
  15. The pic was taken by Dave Wigmore from Golf+. I did ask him if I could take a pic of the tripod/suction cups that were sticking out the back of my car but he didn’t want people to see how he does it. Which is fair enough really. All I had to do was take the handbrake off and roll down the hill so im only doing 2mph in that pic  It look about 20 passes to get right though
  16. How’s this for a cool pic :D
  17. This is what Babel Fish came up with for that 8) This very Beau Corrado was demarquait by its monochromic treatment and its completion!! Id love to have a look at the mag if thats ok with you 8) Cheers
  18. lol Hi Cav. Is there a forum your NOT on  I need to talk to you in the new year about Cats Passat
  19. Cheers guys :D I cant stop playing with it  Bally I havent tried the lowest setting yet but not far off 8) The sump sits on the ground at the lowest so might not be a very good idea
  20. Well after fitting the Koni coilovers (from Zak on here) and only having them on the car for a few weeks I got talking to Matt (Doublezero on E38) about my Golf+ feature. Turns out he's taken the air ride system off his car and we came to a sorted out a deal to swap it for my Koni's 8) Its a Rayvern kit using Koni struts and BRAND NEW Firestone bags 8) 8) The ride is fantastic but a bit weird :? It feels really stable like being on the coilovers but no crashing or bad back when going over the massive potholes round here 8) Corrado ass goes up / Corrado ass goes down lol A cool video :D 8) OR if it doesnt work try - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RzQEaxHsqZQ
