  1. aah the other elite price was from online and prob not TRADE price. i order from work and get discount, delivery was £6 for two 225/50/16's Hankook Ventus, £39+vat. i can check on the required size
  2. yeah i never had the privelige of hearing j-dub. definately a good idea tho, you wouldn't have any diesel lag.
  3. http://www.elitedirect.com they do some good deals, don't know if it was trade price i got, but for toyo proxes on 195/50/15 rubber there is special of 22+vat at moment!!! bargain
  4. i'll try and have alittle look into this, sounds a really good idea, as you wouldn't get the normal lag of a turbo'd diesel. would sound pretty loud i imagine. diesels are usually a bit noisy. lol
  5. cool, sounds good. where bouts you then in surrey/hants? i'm whitehill.
  6. prob be up there myself, with a mate and a Jetta Gti. If i find anything i'll let you know. Any specifics? Schmidt? Revolutions? Borbet's, Brocks?
  7. deep dish 15's.... have you tried german ebay??
  8. Yet another rado, a possible inca blue G60 J plate parked outside coomers haslemere way at about 8 today and yesterday. nice
  9. yeah i'm definately thinking, big save and do 16v G60 as my mate has a G60 and it has just been to g-werks for stage 4 upgrade and is fantastic! and the sound of a charged dub is amazing!
  10. not sure on that one mate. I'm sure others on here may have a good idea.
  11. I see an L reg White VR6 most mornings hammer/liphook way in west sussex/hants and i also saw a red K reg 16v i think along the A283 petworth road.
  12. Right, just had new zorst fitted, still unsure on the size :? , might look better when new wheels arrive. G60 Supersprint system with first box removed. Pulls much smoother through the gears. Also top tinted rear lights. 8)
  13. so i found out it is a case of 1.9 bottom end with low compression pistons, standard(or could polish) 2.0 top end, G60 charger and then you could run the golf g60 intercooler and anythin else necessary. only thing i'm not aware of is injection system? may ned to be changed to digifant type instead of k-jet. worth talking with darren at g-werks. looking at a good 3k tho!!! :(
  14. or you could ask g-man about charging the vavler.... i did and i like the idea but need to do some serious saving!!!! Good for about 300bhp so i was informed. and personal preference i know but they sound better than a turbo.
  15. RS5's would be my choice.... they have a nice dish on them.
  16. i have just had a Supersprint G60 zorst fitted to my 2.0 16v which removes the first box but kept the cat. No real noise difference, which is not a problem, but i did notice it now pulls smoother through the rev range.
  17. Well i don't have many of my c but have a couple of good ones of my previous... sorry for 3rd but someone else took it and it goes with the age!
  18. Nice one mate, a very helpful guide. I am now in the process of repairing my broken one as a spare as i did manage to get another for £10 but i'd like it to last this time.
  19. sorry, i checked at work and it is Sikkens M600. Available from all good paint supply places.
  20. well as it's automotive we have sikkens d600 or something, but you might only get that from a paint supplier. I think gunk do an engine degreaser which may well work by spraying onto caliper or cloth so as not to get onto discs? i'll try and find out some others.
  21. just get yourself some strong degreaser from a motor factors and that will work fine. stuff i use at work for degreasing bodywork before spraying is good, strong but still ok to use. gets tar off bottom of doors and stuff too!
  22. well it was funds that swayed me towards, although 9's all round would have been better, could still later. I will get them for about £140. also any different bolts as i don't know if they will be with them.
  23. cool, cheers darren. That's next on the list, set of Koni's or something, drop it down nicely.
  24. Hi all. Can anyone help me out? I may be able to get hold of a set of Borbet A's for my C, 7.5x16(et 20) and 9x16's(et 15) and wondered if any one knew if they would foul the arches or any steering/suspension part? I'm running std ride height. Thanks.
  25. hey all, very useful thread, i suffered some tramlining on my old mk1, due to running 7x13's with ET of 6(!!) and some rear wheel rub on large bumps! Looking to go deep dish 7.5x16's for my c, when funds allow. .....although the rs4 style in 17's look good.
