After putting the car in their, leave the garage door / windows open until its all cooled down. Shouldn't be a problem as long as you run the car now and again. I've had my car in a similar garage for the last 10 years with no issues.

Cheers guys. Dave, your right. It clips onto the fuel injector pipe and fuel injector fittings just prior to the pipes going into the head. I had to look hard for that one. Jay

Hi Guys The garage replaced my alternator and forgot to refit this clip. I cannot figure out where it goes, does anyone have any ideas? Cheers Jay

Its true Davidwort. My valver had a marzipan head gasket as well - until the cake gremlins got at it. I had it replaced with a toffee one, this one has lasted quite well. A bit like my marshmellow suspension - An excellent Ad by the way. Jay

Ye. Same thing happened to mine ages ago. In my case it was the slave that went, But I believe the same effect will happen if the master goes or both ;>

Wasn't me - I'm in Penwortham and its a standard valver!

How many of us have near original spec Corrados?
Jstar replied to Bojmobile's topic in General Car Chat
Mines a totally original 2.0l. Could use some engine and suspension tune ups but I like it the way it is - and it keeps its cheap to own and run :D The only pic I have of it is in my Avatar Jay -
Mine's the oldest car in our car park at work and its the only one that anyone talks about - the car park includes scoobys, mini cooper s's and other sporty numbers but no one cares. Yes, everyone constantly asks me when I'm getting shut of the old VW and people constantly ask "so how old is it?". At the end of the day I enjoy the car, rattles and niggles included. To be honest its in better nick that 80% of all the other cars in the car park.

How many forum members plan on NEVER selling their Corrado?
Jstar replied to godskitchen's topic in General Car Chat
Not selling mine. I've had it 11 years. Its a weekend car now anyway. The insurance is good value. Nothing on the road like it (I see loads more Porsches and other sports cars). The misses and me bought our house based on the fact there was a nice big garage that I could store the C in and work around it. What an understanding wife I've got. I use her car for work now and she gets the bus! Quality :D -
Hi Guys Does anyone have the part no. for the brackets that hold the gas struts to the boot. Both LH and RH. Mine look like they just come up from the Titanic and I would like to replace them with new / newer ones that aren't fossised!! :D Regards James
-
Cheers guys Got it sussed now. The clips were hidden behind a piece of sticky backed plastic that was 'well' stuck. Jay
-
Walesy The blue clips all seem to be joined up as one piece on the other side of the rear panel. But I don't know how to access that side?
-
vr6storm How do you get to the bracket. I cannot see it underneath and its not in the boot? Cheers Jay

Hi guys Just washing my car for the first time in weeks and the sodding corrado logo on the back fell off. It seems the blue plastic retaining bracket has given up as most are snapped off. I want the graphic back on the car. So does anyone know the part no. for the blue retainer, know how to fit it (I cannot see it underneath or in the boot), or does someone have one in good condition that they would be willing to part with :D Cheers Jay

Hi guys My electric mirrors on my 92K C (late style). Have decided to stop working. I can hear a switch or relay being triggered in the drivers side mirror, but no activity. Any ideas? Cheers Jay

What is it with people who can't f***in' indicate??
Jstar replied to JMC's topic in General Car Chat
I was stuck behind an old granny tonight when I was trying to get home. It was a narrow part of an A road. She was blocking the whole half of our lane with some sort of angled manouver, with the rear of her car nearest to the centeral line. To top it off she was indicating left to turn right - and guess what? She was driving a BMW!!! -
Arrrr! So your the reason I couldn't get out the shoprite car park in Ramsey after they closed the mountain! :D It was baking hot and I was in my Sis's old car with no air-con stuck with a million bikers. Have you heard about McGuinness's lap record - unbelievable!

I know this will get locked immediately.... perhaps not....

Mrbeige. I haven't read up on our famous Mr Joe Cell but from a practical point of view I'd go along with what your saying. I'd use a carburettor. The less electrics the better with a mass of +- fields. Or at least heavily insulate the electrics from the fields. Potatonet. You'll have to meter all you fields especially your liquids as they may be prone to discharge slightly and effect your set up. The parts I deal with discharge about 2KV a minute and can even reverse polatity for bizzare reasons. Another thing to think about is static fields. It sounds like your taking on a total nightmare. Personally I'd give up and go and fit NOS but then I'm lazy :) -

Unfortunately not in the near future JMC. Its currently running 24/7 sputtering bits for some telecom companies. :( You couldn't get a engine block in there, but you could probably get a rocker cover or exhaust manifold in there. It could then be coated with a stealth fighter coating to achieve an invisible field for your car! What bo**ox am I talking???? -

I found a warp drive at the back of my shed :D Potatonet. I sort of understand what your saying about this system. But I have to say I think we have a fair way to go yet to get what your trying to achieve. I've just installed a 1 meter target magnetron in our company. It basically creates a vacuum (less than 2 x 10E-6 Torr). You then intoduce a gas (most types) and a hugh electromagnetic field. We can then "sputter" (a great word) onto a product to coat it (chrome, anti reflect, etc, etc.) However the machine needs 160KW to run. Needs the biggest cooling system I've ever had to deal with (a small room) and makes so much noise it would rattle your C to bits in seconds. So even though I like your lateral thinking as my Boss would say. I'm not such about intoducing this to your car. I mean, why not pick on a c**p car to blow up first? -
I wish their paint mixing technique was like B&Qs paint mixing, were a machine automatically does the biz. In Halfrauds the guy has to use a mixing cup a lollypop stick and some kitchen scales - dead professional.
-
My link is obviously not working. Does any one know the link? Cheers

Same happened to me a few years ago with my valver wheels (don't know their name). Got them refubed and new tires and everything is now ok. I paid £60 a wheel about 4 years ago.

Hi Guys I wish I could mix the paint in Halfrauds instead of the staff who don't really know what their doing. The guy who mixed my paint was a gram out here and there, and with 8 colours its pretty critical weights to get it right. :x
