  1. How come the roof has been fully masked? Spraying in phases or different plan for the roof?
  2. Good luck with this pal, loving ur approach so far good stuff - cant wait to see the finished article.
  3. Ye im not sure as it shows in the pic they are Borbet E's but in the shops they mainly seem to be under the CB name!? At the mo im thinking the Borbet's either the 16 x 7.5 with 205/40's or if possible the 17 x 8's with either 215/40's or 205/40's but will 8inch width fit straight on with no fowling!?
  4. Recently bought back my onld G60 to find it sitting on OZ 35th Anniversary wheels which I want to get rid of ASAP! But the change needs to be right first time, due to tight budget! The thoughts at the moment are either Borbet CB's: Or BBS RX's: Both of the pics are 17's and my car is a J reg G60 otherwise the same as in the pic and lowered 35mm. Im not sure though on whether 17's or 16's are the right way to go and what exact offset and wheels width and tyre combo to go for! Any pics general help is welcomed!! + where is the best place to buy? cheers
  5. Go for it with the black it sets them off real nice, edging on retro!!
  6. Ye BK 17's they are ok and were on it when i bought it, but they are only 7 inch i think and offset is bit too big, their no where near the arches plus the tyres are extreme sh*t!!
  7. just had it dropped bout 35mm, wish i could of afforded coilovers but when u go coilover you have to go the best and thats price!! I think 9's all round is not gonna happen but 9 at the back is sounding tempting but not likeing the idea of cutting the arches, what about 9's with offset 20 or is that where coilovers are needed?! the car currently: (now with europe flag instead of tacky England flag on number plates and smoked instead of orange side repeaters)
  8. Hmm.. ye think Borbet A's a no go, but Borbet E's now in contention for sure. Its true the Borbet A's have been done Borbet C's na not so much need the dish I rekon. Size still not sure that wheel-machine.de is pretty awsome good tyre deals thats for sure. How have 9 inch fitments on the rear been for people stright on? adapters? how much tyre arch kissing? thanks
  9. Ok so the Rado is been droped, not much 35mm on Sachs & Boge (damn those speed bumps) but enough for now, and wheels that i bought it with are sh*t! Fallen for both the Borbet A's and T's but what sizes to choose!? 16 x 7'5 inch up front with the would be good i think but want them to fit straight with no rubbing, but at the same time keep them as close to the arch as possible, so is et20 too much? ne pics? 16 x 9 at the back? or 16 x 7'5? its a daily driver so again no rubbing and not up for arch work right now, so will 16 x 9's fit straight on and if so what offset will do that? or will 16 x 7'5 at et20 do a better job? Decisions decisions, ne pics and advice would be greatly appreciated, oh and which rims Borbet T or A? cheers P.S. how do u put pics on here?
  10. brakes dont seem to be binding, it is possible the timing is out as I have just had the cambelt done and perhaps the timing is not quite been set properly, it does link in with what 'flusted' says about feeling gutless as low down it is seeming extremely gutless even for a valver! What aftermarket oil coolers are about?
  11. My recent purchase of a 95 2L 16v is going well so far just lowered it got it fully serviced, but after driving about 800 miles in it now im finding two key issues im a little worried about. Firstly the MPG return is being very poor, averaging between 20-27 MPG and thats even if being frugle with the right foot! Secondly Oil Temp is averaging 118 - 120 C today sitting in traffic on the M25 at idle and even at speed after didnt really drop below 108 - 114 C! Ne body else finding this? Are the two likely to be related? thanks
  12. Dont worry, all sorted the hammer on the handle needed filing down abit, it seemed to be keeping the lock open all the time. Now all i need to solve is the intermitent passanger lock which sometimes dosnt open, with the pin going up and then dropping down ne ideas? thanks
  13. The 'plastic section on the stricker pin', do u mean the lil white bobble on the handle mechanism? because the delocked handles only have a custom metal strikers i think. They are rear Passat items yea, sounds like ur design may be well worth it! cheers
  14. After being without a rado for 2 months due to the sale of my G60, last weekend i bought a beautiful aqua blue 2L16v for a deal at £1200 (my second Corrado and im only 19, talk about hooked!), but my first mod has caused issues! On my last rado i found delocking my door handles, with modified rear Passat items simple and effective, but today i tried it on my new boy and after an hour or so in the freezin cold, i was done....or not! N/S door all good, but drivers not so, close the door lock the car and can still open the door but only an inch! Unlock the car same thing! it can be intermitent when it lets me open the door totally but is usually when the door is locked i.e. alarm goes off! Not much fun! Ne ideas? cheers
