Thanks Shaun Does anyone know how much these go for when they are up for sale? I've had no luck finding one in the UK yet but have seen one in the US but it's not cheap!

Hi everyone I've just bought my old G60 back with the hope of getting it back on the road. I sold it in 2007 and it was driven by the new owner until 2010 and then it has been off the road since. Before even trying to start it have noticed some pretty bad corrosion of the crossmember under the rad. A quick search suggests this isn't uncommon and that the part I think I need (535199171G ?) is no longer available. Can anyone confirm if this is the part I need and suggest any ideas on where to source one? I didn't expect this to be an easy or cheap project but wasn't quite ready for such a depressing start! cheers Crispo

Hi all 8 years ago I sold my G60 - the beautiful running red car I sold is now a pink non runner which hasn't moved in 3 years. I'm going to try and save it from Corrado heaven. I'm pleased to see the forum is still going strong - I think I'm going to need it! The car is stuck at my folks near Crewe so if anyone has any garage recommendations in the Crewe or Luton area I think I'm going to need one. It's good to be back!

Corrado Heat Shield Hood Liner (Group Buy 2014)
Crispo replied to Southie's topic in Group Buy Feelers
G60 no emblem please -
How would I know if my thermostat was stuck open? And what would that mean? As I'm sure you may well have guessed I'm not the most technical of people - but I like the sound of cheap and easy to replace! Cheers C.

Thanks for the replies. I haven't got an aftermarket oil cooler fitted and the oil temp does go up. As far as the water goes it does seem to take a long time to go up - and on some shorter journeys won't even rise as far as where the numbers start. The guage does work though as proved when stuck in traffic when it's pointing to the sky and the fans going for all it's worth! Not driven another corrado but compared to other cars I've driven seems to take an unusually long time to heat up. How can I check if the temp sensors are working correctly? Cheers C.

My G60 seems to take a long time to heat up after starting and I just wanted to check if this is normal? I've tried searching for an answer and had no luck - most posts are concerning running too hot not too cold so maybe I should consider myself lucky. After starting I drive the car straight away but keep under 3000rpm until the oil is up to 90. This can take over 10 mins which seems like a long time - also the water temp gauge seems to take an age before it even rises off the stop. Hope someone out there can help. Cheers

Corrado Spotting was it you [Archive April 06]
Crispo replied to mistrall's topic in General Car Chat
Black C complete with aa van southbound carriageway M1 just before it joins M25. Was Northbound in Red G60. Nothing serious (or expensive!) I hope. -
I'm assuming you mean 6 x 4 speakers to replace the originals. If you look underneath the speakers there are two screws per side - remove these and speaker holder including grill and be removed. Then see if your new ones fit in the holders - some have larger magnets and you'll have to think about trimming the plastic mountings although some people caution that this can weaken supports and lead to vibrations. I kjust fitted some JBL and no cutting required.
-
cheers - you happy with the sound of them?
-
where did you mount the crossover? how big is it? One with the JBL looks big so would be an under dash job I guess Cheers
-
Not expecting anything amazing from them but the holes are there so I'd thought I'd use them (story of my life) just to fill in sound in the back Oh the other thing I was wondering is do the Alpines have a separate crossover or is it just a capaciter thing like the originals. Not seen any separate crossover in the picture - the lazy man in me is spotting an opputunity to save work! Sorry for getting all technical with "capaciter thing" - not really got a clue!
-
cheers - and I meant JBL-GTO-506CE for the front.

Hi hope someone out there can help me with this. Looking to get some new speakers JBL-GTO6425e 4 x 6 for the rear and JBL-GTO6425e components for the front. The alternative I've looked at are ALPINE-SXE-4625S for the rear and ALPINE-SXE-1350S components up front. The thing is I really don't want to have to start hacking the car up to fit them. Ideally I'd like speakers which fit the doors and the rear with no cutting required. I've read in other posts about people making "slight" alterations to fit them in whilst other people have cautioned against cutting (especially in the rear) as it can reduce strength and result in vibrations. If anyone's got any experience with the speakers mentioned above then any advice would be very much appreciated! Cheers C.
