From a '93 L reg car. Good condition, with a couple of marks. Looking for £50, collect from Tyneside, or possible meet up for cost of fuel, if it fits in my car!

I've got a fully working moon roof and would have been happy to fit/help fit, but i'm more than 250 miles away! And i'm overseas at Easter, so not totally helpful.......

I've got a full working one in blue from a '91 G60 or a full working glass tilt and slide about to be taken out of my crashed VR. Near Newcastle upon Tyne though. I'd take £50 for the G60, £100 for the glass.

I`m currently re building my bumped Corrado, with the plan being that the car is a dedicated track toy. I have someone who can do glass fibre panels and was wondering if anyone else would be interested. At the moment i have asked for bonnet, wings and front bumpers. I have used wings and bonnets made by this chap on my M3 before and i am happy with the quality. Just checking to see if there is any interest at the moment. Cheers, Simon

Just a note for people removing your ABS. Hope you have friendly MOT testers as the new computer linked MOT test gives the full specification for the car. If it was fitted at the factory and you take it for MOT without, there is a possibility that it will never pass another MOT again. :shock:

Does anyone know the gearbox ratios and final drives for Corrado, Golf and Vento VR6s? My box is starting to whine a bit, so i`ll be trying to get one that will give a slight performance increase. Oh & box codes would also be usefull. Thanks.

I`m based in the UK! The only thing i can think of with the 183k Vento is that it gets Very regular oil changes. Its actually getting its next one on Friday night, ready for a track day on Saturday!

If you use standard fit Bosch triple electrode plugs,(w6dtc?) they are pre set and ready to fit.

Hi there, my first time on here as one of my mates knows i run supercharged VRs and he wants my experience to be known. First of all, my everyday thrash car is a Vento VR6, with over 183,000 miles on the clock. This car has ran a Vortec supercharger for at least 75,000 miles and is driven without mercy all of the time. It doesn`t use any oil, is quiet and has been totally reliable. As far as i`m aware, its never had the head off and is still on its original timing chains. The last major trip it took part in was a 1900 mile thrash through Europe in 3 days! I also have a Golf with a Z engineering charger. This car has covered 70,000 miles without any issue, but it obviously hasn`t covered any significant mileage. so as far as i`m concerned supercharging VRs doesn`t reduce the reliability of the engine. Regarding poor reliability issues, a mate has a passat VR6. This isn`t supercharged, but it is in the process of getting the head gasket replaced, at a mileage of....... 203,000! :shock: Sorry for such a long post, but to summarise, Basil knows nothing! :roll:
