Are they expensive? easy to fit or do these have all kinds of cables running into them?

Just had this years service and it aint been the best day of my life. Crankshaft main bearing seal could be shot but have got that under control. Anyway i have a crack in my exhaust manifold and i hear this is a mare of a job. Anyone ever done it? Dont know if i should have a go or not. What about head gaskets? Anyone know if these are a biatch to change? Think i may need one of them soon. I've only ever worked on basic engines and not engines with cables everywhere. Its a 2l 16v Cheers chaps....

Neil - just been reading your thread on the gti forum. Dont sell it cause its f'kin mint! Will have a bash at the trim when i get the chance. Forgot about fully synth, put that in my anglia and it was much better. Frome is near bath/bristol, it aint very big.

Dont know if this is common but my corrado dont like to go into 1st. It will in the end but i dont like forcing it. Had an austin metro like this once so made a 3ft extension for the lever :lol: Dont want to go that route again. Reverse is a biatch aswell when it wants to be.

Anyone ever polished one of these to mirror finish? Its a bit of a lump and dont look easy. Is it worth coughin up crap for a week?
