Would anyone know what it is for a 92 model?
-
Nipped mine off with an angle grinder, bolts were siezed from the heat. Problem solved ...
-
No, just always seems to pull to left, even when over taking in which case i would be on the right hand side of the road ....
-
Changed mine just last night, 2 minute job, used Castrol SMX-5 Big difference, especially when engaging reverse or 1st gear, straight in now, no problems. Highly recommend doing it if you have any of the above problems

So take it the following I will be doing next: Coilovers & new top mounts New Gearbox mount and rear Mount Will let you know how i go.
-
Could it possibly have anything to do with worn engine mounts, i have replaced the front but not the other two yet?
-
Thanks for that, its a 92 G60, there is 106K on the clock,

Sorry should have mentioned that, pressures fine Rose joints??? Not fimiliar with them ?? Where are they located? Would take it that with tyre pressure the pull would be in all of the time, it really comes to life and pulls to the left under heavy acceleration, for example when overtaking, can be scary sometimes
-
David: still running original suspension set up so would have to take it that they could be on the way out. I have a new set of weitecs to go on it, it is just the top mounts that need replacing or is there any thing else is should change in it when doing these? Is there a bearing also that the shock sits into? whats the story with the racks, where can you pic these up? Expense??? Gusto: They are brand new tyres on it, not even 150 miles on them along with new wheels.

Have spent some time searching for this but can't find it been mentioned before, if it was please redirect. All advice appreciated.

Hi Lads, Mine just started screaming last night, gonna change out tomorrow morning, take it there is an inner and an outer, best replace both i presume. Any tricky things to look out for as i haven't done them on the c before? Using original VAG ones and new split pins from reading this thread. Are they easy enough to get out? Cheers

Hi, Searched these and couldn't find a previous thread although i am sure there is one someplace. Please direct me to it if there is one. 2 questions: 1) Just changed my abs pump, had to drain all fluid to do so. Is it just the standard procedure of bleeding brakes to replace fluid and get flow through abs pump as new one was dry on fitting. 2) VAG.Com tool, can anyone tell me more on this as it seems to be mentioned a lot on site. Is there a programme and connection to buy for diagnosis etc.? Seen it been mentioned when doing my search in relation to above. Thanks, Rob.

Perhaps this should be in styling section but it is under bonnet, admin please feel free to relocate if i am wrong. Am getting rocker cover blasted and resprayed, is sand blasting ok as its an Aluminium cover, just asking since alloys are Aluminium as they are bead blasted. Don't want to damage rocker cover. All advice taken on board and appreciated. Rob

Thats handy, have set ordered from Darren & Rob so will be fitting soon. Cheers

Am fitting a new abs pump later on but i know that either one or all abs wheel sensors are also gone. I there any way of finding out which sensor of the four wheels is gone without hooking up to machine? Cheers, Rob.

Got it sorted  seems battery had pinched wire going to front dim light. repaired and now sorted. Thanks for help all.
-
Yea, have an uprated loom but this is happening with ignition turned on but am unable to run engine at moment as charger in G-Werks getting serviced at the moment. Does this make a difference with yours? ignition fully on ie. one more turn of key to start engine, but no engine running?
-
Yes, checked all fuses. Sorry, should have mentioned that.

Hi all, Hope you can help :( I have lost rear passenger side light (normal light that comes on when lights are switched on), brake, indicators, etc all ok. Have also lost parking light on same side at front if vehicle (dim light that comes on when you switch on lights but not switching on dip/full lights). The wire that is connected to both of these that carries the voltage is the same colour wire blue with black stripe but is showing up on the multimeter as no voltage. To test I have done the following: Rear lights: Tested earth - ok Swapped bulb holder to other side – ok Checked & changed bulbs – ok Checked – loom connection to bulb holder – ok Front lights: Checked all loom connections – seem fine Swapped headlights – fine when connected to driver side lamp loom Bulb fine I also have a spare headlight switch so swapped this out but still no joy. Can anyone shed some light on this as I am miffed as to what to do next. All advice taken onboard & appreciated. Rob
