    SPRING CUT DOWN

Plus, it will invalidate your insurance. It is an illegal modification to the car - and if something was to happen to you (accident with another vehicle, or you just lose control) your insurance company will have nothing to do with you, you will not get any money, you may get fined for driving illegally, do not pass go, etc etc. Is it really worth scimping on?
  3. Yes, only with the original purchaser. As for the locks - this is just an option you can enable in the Clifford menu - which you can access via your keypad. Might be easier to get the original fitters to do it though - using the menu and listening to the beeps and chirps isn't fun and passers-by thing you're hot-wiring the car or something :)

    Press button

Looks like keypad (left) and LED (right) for the alarm...
  5. If its not working at all - its likely to be the copper contact behind the knob. Give it a good pull and it will come away revealing a copper strip. The sticky-out bit on the rotary dial might need a bit of bending and some copper-grease wouldn't do any harm. If it works on #4 only, then its your thermal fuse. Have a look here for more info.
  6. Didn't Chuck talk about it before?? Normally by keyfob - but if that fails there's a button on the parcel shelf.
  7. Yes the Concept 300 is part of the G4 range and supports the interface. My Clifford came with a lifetime warranty - didn't yours?

    Dynamat

And so is 1 tonne of feathers....... There are other alternatives to Dynamat - you can get a thicker rubber matting stuff which semms pretty good. Heat it up and it goes sticky - kinda like the felt used to seal flat roofs to be honest! Nice and thick to stop vibrations though :)
  9. Mine is in the small hole in the top left of the guage pod. Sticks out a little - but nicely visible.
  10. Well, don't know for sure - but when I turn my seats on (oh baby!) I get a relay click from the back-left. So my guess is the wiring goes back to the rear quarter on the passenger side.
  11. Only received once, m8 - so don't worry. Thanks :D

    :-O [in shock]

It's actually a Seat Used Car warranty - since I bought my C from a Seat garage 11 months ago. Its the comprehensive package for 7-15yr old cars - with a claim limit of £1000 (lucky!). Costs £299/year (but I got it for free with the car).
  13. The 'flippings' occured in straight lines though.... No corners required. The additional spoiler does the same as the Corrado one - reduces upthrust stopping the car going all floaty-light with all the air pressure underneath the floorpan.
  14. You may or (the more likely) may not remember I had an ABS problem a couple of weeks ago….. Well, last week the car went into VW (Parkway in Derby) to have a new OSF ABS sensor and investigate an oil leak. The plan was to try and use the warranty that came with my car – but warranty companies can be like insurance companies and look for any get-out clause to not pay. The car was at VW for 3 days – not a good start. Upon removing the OSF wheel, it was obvious that the hub wasn’t in the happiest of states. Further investigation of the NSF revealed the same. Oil leak found to be two oil pressure sensors shot. Now the costs: 2x ABS sensor @ £37.00ea 2x front wheel hubs @ £138.91ea 2x front wheel bearings @ £30.00ea 7x new wheel bolts @ £2.52ea 1x NSF wheel hub housing @ £128.29 1x New oil filter @ £10.00 2x Oil Pressure switches @ £4.60 & £9.50 Now the labour: - ABS sensors £44.00 - Fit new hubs £66.00 - Oil pressure switches £13.20 - Full laser geometry £44.00 Labour rate was £44/hour – and they should’ve charged 3 hours for the hubs and I got the alignment done on the cheap too. All-in-all, the total came to £751.85 (with a couple of gaskets and 2 brake cleaning spray cans), add the VAT, £883.42. *gulp* Warranty company: “I can’t see a problem with that claim, you should get back the full amount.” OMG!!!!!!! Someone pinch me.
  15. Thank you Chris (endor71) :) Donator's will have the pride of 5-star ranking on the site, so its definately worth it! Tom: maybe when you are less drunk every evening...
  16. Surely its whether you have a early or late Corrado. A '94 VR6 would be a late, so the 94-96 ones.
  17. Interesting! Think it might be a clash of filename....
  18. It'll get worse.... 'cos you'll be gunning it around full throttle all the time 'cos of the fantastic noise! I rarely get above 25mpg, but then I don't care - I just love the sound! 8)

    Porsche Cup Wheels

Well, the proper Porsche wheels are left and right handed. I dunno about Cup replica stuff, though.

    Porsche Cup Wheels

If they were all the same - one side would scoop the air into the brakes and the other side wouldn't as they'd be the wrong way round.....

    Porsche Cup Wheels

:?: They're meant to look like that - the wheels scoop air in to cool the brake discs. And you get wheels for the left, and wheels for the right - so they all look like that...

M8, what is it with you and pictures of wrecked cars???? :changes:
  24. Finally got round to ordering mine today - they're on back-order so not sure when they'll come in! Too many of us doing this mod, it would seem! Thats a good tip JohnJ! I have done the passenger+driver setup, since I need the larger sweep area for my rain sensor - but if its a little too much, it won't be too difficult to trim 1cm off :)
