  1. Can't say about the internals, but I bought a C2 motor sport 02m gearox bracket for my MK5 R32 conversion and it didn't fit, the mounts where in different locations. Compaired it to the V6 4 motion 02m box and it was o.k. Spoke to Wilco from Dutch build and he's come across this as well. So you're better off making your own gearbox bracket. I also picked up a Haldex/ Syncro conversion kit off him. Not sure how far your along with your conversion but Wilco has done a few R32 conversions on MK2 and Mk3 Golfs and he told me he's used a MK5 Golf engine mount on the offside and a MK4 mount for the nearside on a couple of cars. He'll also machine drivesahfts to fit. http://www.dutchbuild.com/ Hope this helps Andy
  2. Is that the part number for the bracket or tensioner? I need to get the mk4 PAS bracket for mine so a part number would be rather handy! Do I need to change the tensioner with the bracket or is it just the bracket I need in order to run the VR's PAS pump etc? Tensioner 021145 299 Bracket 021 260 087 The tensioner and bracket no's cover Corrado VR's up to 95 and Golfs 92 up to 2001 inc 4 motions. I am using the VRs tensioner and bracket. The BUB tensioer is connected to the actual bracket and not the block like the VR, unless you are using the BUB's electric power steering and A/C then you don't need it. If you need a bracket then a scrappy or eaby would save you a bit of cash, as they are not cheap.....
  3. 2005 BUB Engine with origonal bracket, and with 1994 VR6 bracket and belt tensioner PN 021 145 299 C
  4. CoxyLaad Does the DSG box come with its own ECU, like the VR6 auto.
  5. corradosyncro I've got a R32 engine which came along with a DSG box, which I intend installing in my VR. As I don't have all the DSG bits, I've decided to use a manual 02m box, I don't have the driveshafts, did you get new ones fabricated if so who off and how much were they, or did you use the original R32 shafts and get them re-machined. Also unsure if I'm going to go 4WD or stick with the 2WD at present. Andy
  6. Bigpants Baby Did you use the R32 gearbox, if so did you get the driveshafts re-machine or did you get new ones made. Andy
  7. Bigpants Baby Possibly looking to go down the 24v route, as I need a new project the VR's been sitting in the drive looking sad for the past 10 months, since I bought a Golf 4 motion. How many miles on the Bora, could you PM me with some details. Andy
  8. I used chips away last year on my A4 for three marks on three different panels, two I was pleased with, but the third was very disappointing, that was on a crease on the boot and there was a lot of over spray and it looks crap. I was charged £85. The guy who did it hadn't been doing it long. If you've a few bits to do on one panel I wouldn't bother with them.
  9. Mine does exactly the same, top it up and then after fews weeks settles out at just below the minimum level. Its been like it since I bought the car three years ago, it never goes any lower so I don't worry about it.
  10. Taking the upper black cable first which is the footwell/screen flap.
  11. It’s the later type without the switch, and I do still have the ECU, as regards being 100% compatible I’m not 100% sure. I don’t want anything for the box, as I need it out of the way, so its yours for just postage, which I don’t expect to be cheap as its quite heavy.
  12. I have a 94 VR6 auto box (no torque converter) with 80000 miles, which you can have if you want to sort out the postage. I did a manual conversion about 8 months ago and no longer have any need of it. The box was working fine before I changed it.
  13. Yes well done Caroline, it’s taken a long time to sort out, top marks for staying with it.
