yes being a steal is for real, i don't want to spend loads on mods just try and keep it basic as possible...Do you know who has the cheapest price for a stage 4 ? i have a mate who took his c to jabba, but from what he tells me they are too expensive !! :shock:

can i have some feed back please, i found a red G60 on a H plate, the guy at first wanted £1700 for it and i thought i might buy it for the wife as she uses my VR and g60 alot for work and the VR has to much power for her.... i thought it was time she had a car of her own to clean instead of me doing all the time :roll: anyway it has not much history, 85,000 mile old mots and passenger door needs a new door skin due to ppl not looking what they are doing, :x it has some colour fading insome place because of the colour red and the seats inside is pretty much good as new. He had owned the car for 5 years and only done around 7000 miles since having it.... anyway i got the car down to £1500 in the end and said i would get back to him... So what do you think, i was lucky to have most of the work on my current c work carried out already so, not too sure what i have to spend to get it up to the mark i want like the supercharger etc.. cheers !

andy get the ics unit checked out, its connected to the thottlebody they go after a while as well as the mass air flow meter, i had this posted on another thead.... ic unit cost less than the mass air flow meter surprised me.. as all it is, is a strip of thin wire that air passes over!! When changing the ics unit the memory has to be reset on the car. let as know cheers !

interesting........... you may like to know that not all parts are not picked up by the vag -com and in result can cause the idle to be off beat like yours :shock: ..... so you are quite welcome to come down to our meet which is the last sunday of every month and come and check the westside cars including mine at park Royal near wembley........... i think kevhaywire will agree with me that the VR6 engine is one of the best engines that was produced in its time , in which when it was first produced compared to Alfa Romeo V6 engines was far more the superior of the two at the time..... i am quite older than other members on this forum (36) :oops: and have had 2 vr6 for now around since 94 with 9 month break because i went back to university so had to have a cheaper car to run. But to cut a long story if your car is Running like a 'agricultural' type of engine than i would be very interested in seeing it, if you ever go to inter's or any of the events please email me !

Miltek/AmD catalytic converter mated to Supersprint exhaust. ERL Aquamist water injection. Neuspeed low temperature engine and fan thermostat. Vibratch front and rear engine mounts. Power: 300bhp at flywheel; 245bhp at wheels; 265 lb/ft :twisted: :evil: :twisted: :twisted:

mines smooth that i can tell you........ and i also belong to club GTI where there is a number of VR's where i have sat in and its the same as mine.... i had the mass air flow meter and ICS control unit replaced after showing two errors on the VAG-COM the car runs like a dream and pulls very strong all the away no problem....... I also had the same kind of problem robbystore had and would recommend having these two items checked out before spending money on parts that are not needed...... I also want to say that i have a G60 also, when you compare the drive between the VR and the g60 the VR's power is very refine and even balanced very hard to explain but the VR is a much better engine in delivery in power........well thats my suggestion as i have the two to compare, and no offence to G60 owners .... :lol: i now want to have the VR supercharged after all the rave reports i have heard and also taking a trip in one at nik sharon, which gave me a wide grin :evil: hope my small input helps in resolving your problem out robbystore !!

Can you tell me how you become a member as, the corrado Club of Britian which i posted early on has shut down and had the details on there on joining, do we go to the scotish Region now ?? i'm a member of club GTI does that help as i'm not too sure :?

I saw the threads of not being able to get the Panels and thought S**t as i really wanted one.... so i phoned around and yes, like you said none about, but then was given 2 numbers by VAG dealers because two was showing on the database some where , any way i phoned up and with luck he had it in stock which came in the post today and they are for rhd as well !! I think it was just Pot Luck Really !! :D

Sefton are you still looking for a gauge panel as i was very lucky to come across two and i took one not too be greedy so as i know there is 1 still left to date ! The Vag Number is 53685820101c i paid £ 10.57 which in cluded Vat the only thing that i forgot was the the brackets and other bits i need if you still want it as you asked first email me and i will give you the phone number and you can deal direct with them but be quick :D

yes G60 it may be a route for me to go, as i'm not too keen on selling may have to re- think again, cos like your self i've put alot of hard work into the car. i have a friend also wants it, but its out of his price range so will have to ponder again because of all the man hours i put in.... :lol: sounds like i'm drunk cos i'm saying the same thing again lol Jurgen great Car, did you do the conversion your self ?
