Yes i have the same problem, i thought it was the spring so was under the dash giving it a spray with WD, it went away than came back again :mad:

how comes you guys paid a mint? i'm very sure thats what i payed for my rad from the stealers as i just checked my Bills, is it because i have a Golf ?? not sure, but do try GSF instead of repairing it again

just a thought, i tend to buy a lot of parts such as oil,plugs etc.... does anyone else go there as well as they seem to sell the same parts as the stealers but you can not get everything...... GSF is a lot more cheaper ?

i drive both and the VR is the better car out of the two, like you know to get more out of the VR you have to spend more than the G60 but the VRs engine is the dogs do da !!! once you have driven a VR you will be smittened for ever trust me 8)

so can somebody wake him up ..... :lol: i know how much he will want it, what do you think vr6storm he will want for it ???

if from the stealers i guess not, they go after 70000-80000 miles from what i have being told, so should have them in, if not next day. can i ask how much miles you have done..

I went out and got one from the stealers for my VR the only thing is that the front bumper has to come off as well as the lights to fit. from the stealers i think £160 but you can get a copy from german and swedish for a lot less, but i would go for a VAG part. opps for got to add stealers will charge 2 hrs to fit so £100 +vat all in £280 :shock:

:lol: i had mine changed on my VR it cost more than the ICS unit :shock: Don't buy a second hand mass air flow, as you never know how long they will last even if it looks clean....

Yes, the charger on the other car was done by jabba to stage 4 when we bought the car, but now i will be looking for pitstop developments,Gwerks or pdm to do the blower, as we have a small budget to keep too for her in doors.... i can't really make my mind up until, really i see the other car so its a hard choice to decided

also on my wish list if i don't but the car we seen. :lol:

can you get a pic of it andy ? sounds like the oil breather pipe i think, if possible try and show a diagram if possible that would help.... Did they check your ICS unit and mass air flow meter like i said ? also did any faults codes come up on the vag-com test ?

Ok chaps thanks for the feedback, we had another look at it this evening and this time i went with a friend. The car has had the service book stamped until 60000 something miles and than up to the current miles have had another garage who done the servicing, so not bad my guess. he also showed me the old MOTS and other bills for repairs..............so it does have some history after all i guess spending 2k getting it how i want it will have to be spent, so i might have a rethink as another cheap one has come up but with a lot less miles 54k with fsh but a grand more.... 8) so i will have to see ...............but be quick as well

mark 16v i can't understand how they can like such a car i'm very surprised ... you never know the yanks may take the front end onboard and call it american look spec :lol: only kidding :lol:
