been a bit busy today. the g has been off the road since just after e38, because i bought a solid front mount off a member of this forum who knew the mounts were too short. they didnt inform me of this and ive had some serious issues from it. one being the bolts working their way loose so far that one pulled out letting my engine lift right up and the supercharger hitting the bonnet. big dint in the underside of the bonnet not too noticeble with the bra on but im just happy that it didnt smash the charger. well ive changed back to a standard mount and this is what was at fault (look how its worn uneven). but on a lighter note look what i got free from edition. this is my old air filter

People Running Front Solid Engine Mounts Please read....
g60griff replied to Shaggy's topic in Engine Bay
wish i had remembered that i had posted on this thread. anyway i didnt and i bought the solid mount that is at fault from a fellow forum member  . anyway it turns out that the bolt on the top has worked its way loose and fell out letting the engine move enough for my supercharger to hit the underside of my bonnet dinting and putting a massive bend in the bonnet. i need a new bonnet but at least i dont need a new charger. anyway ive decided im not gonna put another solid mount on and go back to oem. does anyone know the rough price of an oem one. -
its running but well rough, i need help please!!!

nah still havent cured the problem. ive put a new lambda on it and i thought it had worked but it went back to how it was then i changed the plugs cos they hadnt been done for ages. i took ngk out and put some bosch ones in, and it runs worse with them in. bloody thing. adie, can you pm me the details of how to do what you have done to the throttle switch. cheers
