Were any ever produced that didn't have 'leccy mirrors, windows, etc? I'd quite like one as a track/thrash weapon and don't really want to tear it to bits to shed some weight if I don't need to - after having to break the VR it wouldn't seem right :? cheers :)

Do the VR 'raddo's share the same subframe and crossmember as the mk3 golf? cheers

posting on behalf of a mate whos just entered the rollercoaster world of 'raddo ownership 8) he's considering Fk konigsport being damping adjustable, i am running highsports on my VR and find them to be a little bit underdamped (sp?) my question is, are konigs worth the extra for the dampening or would a good spring/shock combo be better? your suggestions as appreciated as usual :)

have a 90mm one whch i was thinking of replacing as i want to lower the front another 10mm or so........out of interest once the spoiler decks out how much sump clearance is there?

heresy........ A controversial or unorthodox opinion or doctrine, as in politics, philosophy, or science. Adherence to such controversial or unorthodox opinion additionally im not sure that rallye lights are any better (if not worse?) then 'raddo ones. yeah baz, finally gave in to the whim..... and dinkus.......if we all had the same ideas then it'd be boring. in fact, most corrado's are IMO, mainly due to the lack of choice when it comes to mods.

does it fit? if its been done does anyone have any links or info? :twisted:

hmm.........everything is plugged in as it should be - and i couldn't see any indication of which is the mfa's fuse on the cover........

the wheels were an accident! i called Paul (runs dubmeister) to see if he had any 5x100 wheels kicking about and these were the result. bonus! still undecided on colour coded centres..........if anyones half about with photoshop and wants to have a go feel free!

thanks fellas 8) am a little concerned about the front suspension tho - when i ordered it i specified that they are for a VR and am not sure if the ones i recieved are - what is the best way to differentiate between VR fronts and normal 4 pot ones? before you ask the original suspension was weighed in so no chance for a comparison there. was a little too enthusiastic about getting them on :oops: :lol:

well after owning it for all of three days i have managed to get some work done to the old girl. current spec SENSIBLY lowered (my arse, i can't get it on the drive! :oops: ) on FK highsports. 8 x 17" et35 ASA AR1's. side trim removed (not shown in pics, did it afterwards). gotta get her down to protyre and have the camber & tracking done A.S.A.P as the front has enough negative going on to make a slammed E30 bmw jealous :shock: after that she's going to the paintshop to have the bubble sorted and the horrible in-car phone aerial removed. have a few more ideas up my sleeve which will wait now until after the festivities have calmed down (i.e i dry out :-P ) Edit: Pics attached for you ;) - dinkus

agreed - to an extent. if you are running a f.i.a aproved 'cage then fair enough it is somehting for them to consider. but if you are sporting a mighty fine polished but largely ornamental alloy jobbie then its a different kettle of fish. EDIT - thanks lee.

liking the look of the car without its interior (and TBH who is actually cruel enough to make people suffer being hunched up in the rear? :lol: ) and saw a feature car in an old mag with a v.nice polished half 'cage. but where would i get one?

good place to start i s'pose.....considering that VR's run pretty hot i like to be able to keep an eye on just HOW hot as although i'm not very kind to the engine i don't want it going bang on me lol

hmmm need a bit of help with this then, will be fitting them onto a vr, so have 8mm offset to play with? was thinking maybe 7.5 x 16 fronts and 9 x 16 rear......and et's 20 -35 front and 15 rear. can i get away with wider onthe fronts without the rim being massively proud of the arch?

is anyone running 9 x 16 on the back of their 'raddo? can't decide if i want to play it safe with a set of 17's and the usual offsets or go 8/9 x 16 and have some euro phatness.....

when using coilovers on VR's are they specific to the heavier front end or is it "one type fits all"?

no, not yet........though i have my eye on a rolling shell thats coming up for grabs, fancy an engine conversion with a difference :wink: . this question is in the name of a different project - i always use 'raddo seats as i prefer them to any other vag seat. a pr of TT seats have come up for grabs and before i jump in and buy them i wanted to check out whether they're any good for a person of slightly above average build :oops: ....the would-be seller recommended that i check out this forum as he'd read about it here before. did a search and couldnt find anything :( hows the 'G' going?
