My guage fluctuates wildly under acceleration and braking, going uphill/downhill, round corners or stopped on a slope! Always assumed it was one of those quirky things about the c. just keep it full!

the flood of posts on this subject (excuse the pun) is indicative of the monsoon conditions we've had recently and its reasonable to expect leaks here and there on 15 year old cars. At the end of the day its not the worst thing that can happen and theres the rest of the summer  to dry out. Agree with posts regarding clearing drainage holes etc and something as simple as facing your car the other way when parking can work wonders!

am i right in thinking VW did away with the brake air ducts in the '92 facelift? Not on my c either, assume they werent really needed

mine does this all the time, a good slap on top of the dashboard usually does the trick!

yeah agree roundabout discipline is a big problem here too, particularly people approaching in the right turn lane and going straight on. the worse thing is when you beep them they look at you like you've two heads. the amount of people driving around oblivious to the near accidents they cause is scary. a new craze now is indicating right when going straight on, mindboggling!

so, ordered wednesday, arrived monday, 68 quid for the pair including p+p. top class service, they even told the courier to ring my mobile when he was arriving so i didnt have to sit in all day. had them fitted today in local garage for forty quid, reckon i've saved well over a tonne, think some lupo wipers now! and i can categorically answer my own question ...they fit!

thnx for checking that rw1, will go ahead and order so. will post how all goes with this crowd, havent used them before, but they are substantially cheaper than my local stealer (over 250 euro for the pair he wanted)

cheers Blown, dont exactly throw my c around so as long as it doesnt affect handling dangerously woudnt mind. would be interesting to know if there is much difference in pressure rates etc, though if vw developed the c suspension separately there probably is.

quick question guys at the risk of repeating myself, will mk 2 golf gti rear shocks fit my 92 g60? cheers in advance

thanks for that guys! now that you mention it all discs and calipers were quite rusty, may also explain why abs light was on.will double check the mfa though,in the buyers guide it mentions it resting itself, what exactly does this mean? having said that, ive viewed a few cars and this has very little wear compared to them,if its been clocked, its been covered up well! all in all,now more confident it is a little steal, keep you posted

hello to all! just a guest up to now but hoping to snag my first corrado this sat. will be bringing the buying guide with me but any other advice welcome. its a 92 model with 66k,already had a quick look and spin, seems to drive ok but is there any way to tell from driving how well the charger is working? bodywork and interior are excellent and all electrics, door handles etc are working. car is completely unmodified. only thing bugging me is last service in book is 1998 at 57k! practically hasnt been used for 7 years and looks it. told just had lady owner who never used it. dont think its been clocked judging by interior and it started up fine. any comments?
