  2. Just seen thses guys on ebayhttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Refurbished-alloy-wheels-All-cars-in-Blackpool-Preston_W0QQitemZ8033928981QQcategoryZ28648QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem give them a shout and let us know what they say, they seem to be the most local wheel refurbers to me in Ulverston Cumbria,so would be interested to know how much? how good?etc etc.As i was thinking of getting my sebrings refurbished.
  3. Might have a look at it on Tuesday afternoon before i go to work, very tempting but good point about the 140k.......thats a lot of arses on one seat....are they renowned for sagging?
  4. Is it the white one on eBay...? Yes,lives just round the corner from me but i dont know him,car looks realy tidy but its the interior that caught my eye, dont think a white C with a standard interior would be very desireable to sell on again after removing the interior. passat climatronic wiring diags.pdf
  5. How desireable is a full recaro interior and how much are they worth?.cheap Corrado for sale near me with one fitted, how much more is a car worth with one fitted?
  6. Did top mounts when i first got car so should still be ok They would look cool........Trouble is i'de have to sell the C to buy them!!!!!!!! How do you measure the drop?is it floor to wheel arch or wheel centre to wheel arch?
  7. Iv'e finaly got round to buying some coilovers, Supersport one's from Venom Mototsport £360 inc vat and delivery,These where the very best i could afford!!!!. Also bought new poly bushes for rear axle and front wishbones, new track rod ends and bottom ball joints.Anything else ive missed out but you would suggest doing let me know!!!! Then its a 3hr trip down the M6 on 22nd Feb to Stealth racing for a go on his 4 wheel allignment machine and an hour or two on the rolling road, this should sort out any issues with the car.Hopefully after all this(My christmas bonus is all but gone now!) my Corrado should be as good as new.How low should i go?was thinking about droping it until i could line up top of tyre with wheel arch,i am running standard sebring alloys but am looking at upgrading to some 16" alloys, any ideas as to what would suit a red Corrado would be happily accepted.Would this be ok or to low for everyday use?I live in the Lake District and the roads are notoriously bad .What type of hp figures will i be looking at for a totaly standard 1.8 16valve,done 110000 miles so should be run in by now. Will add some pictures soon.
  8. Disturbing video of two t***s smashing up a vw Golf. http://www.pistonheads.tv/video.asp?id=631&nr=1
  9. looking for a set of coilovers and have seen these advertised on Venom Motorsport web site. Part ID: FKAK07 FK AK Supertech coilovers. Kit A Front and Rear 50-80mm. Special Internet Offer! VW Corrado 1.8 16v/2.0 16v/G60 £255.00 (ex. VAT) has any one used these? are they any good? what is the ride quality like? Can i use my standard 16v top mounts with these units?
  10. I run my C as a daily driver, but get a lift to work with a mate so the C sits in my heated garage all nice and warm/clean,just waiting to be driven inbetween shifts.Wife also runs an 04 plate Renault Megane 1.5 td.It does 58 mpg all day long and only costs £85 per year to tax,so the wife saves money on her car so i can spend it on mine !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Nice!
  11. That was one scary moment for Solberg ! Who said those stupid looking ironing board type spoilers dont do anything.Seeing these cars in full chat is a sight to behold,Went to Sweden to watch the wrc this year, totally amazing. The best action is on Tarmac such as wrc Germany in two weeks time, these guys do 140mph plus down lanes with the hedges clipping the wingmirrors. If anyone wants to go and watch these rallys i can recomend a very good travel company called http://www.rallytravel.com take a look at there site, prices are good to although you do have to get your own flights.
  12. Just found and replaced fuse on c/l after they stopped working on my 1990 16v Corrado.Fuse(10 amp red) is located on the top of the fuse box(not in No 21 position as described in the owners manual) on the right of the relay numbered 31 which is upside down, the fuse is accesable with a pair of long nosed plyers,so no need to drop the fuse box down which is a very fiddly job.
  13. Great looking c m8,hope mine looks that good when its finished...........What have you used on the paintwork to bring it up like that ? ...........must have took hours !
  14. Just looked in VW manual and it lists both 185/55/15 or 195/50/15 as standard fit tyres,Car had these tyres on when purchased so last owner must have gone for cheapest option.
  15. Checked,Checked and double checked everything all seems to be ok.Asked the VW technician to check all suspension mounting points prior to tracking and said everything ok.
  16. What tyre pressures do you recommend to run @ on standard 185/55/15 tyres ? Owners manual recommendes 38 front 32 rear but that seems a bit excessive ? is this causing my tracking camber problems(see last topic)
  17. Just spent lots of time and money replacing all suspension bushes on my 1990 16 valve ,top mounts (std) wishbone bushes(uprated items) and had my camber and tracking set up by my local VW dealer (Hadwins of Lindale,Cumbria) £52 inc vat and it took them 2 hrs !.Car is riding on standard but recently new (12 months old) shocks and standard ride height springs.it now drives much better than before, but still pulls to the left quite badly and follows the camber of the road ,high speeds 80 mph + the car drifts from side to side .What could it be? Rear axle bushes are next on the list along with arb bushes.Any ideas would be gratefully recieved.
  18. Cool might make the valver a bit more pokey !
