  1. the pedal won't lift at all

i've taken all of the trim out so i can have a good look around and i've found quit a few diconnected plugs :? i've put two back together that look right but they haven't made a difference to my situation.

can anyone tell me exactly what the brake switch looks like and the relay for the front lights. i haven't got a workshop manual yet.

whats happening is when i brake the tail lights come on and when i put my lights on the brake lights come on.

  2. it must be down to the none adjustable lumbar supports. i love the fact that the seats can be lowered but its on that setting that it sticks right in my back. the back seats are the best looking you can get.

i'm smaller than the rest of you 5" 10 so thats probably why it digs in.

has anyone tried fitting rs turbo recaros?

  3. my new c came with after market lights and i've noticed a leak in the boot. usually this is due to not replacing the origional squoshed seals. i've been down to price up new ones from vw, 5 quid each and theres two each side.

do you know if i'll need all four or just the inner or outer two?

  4. is it just me or are corrado seats the most uncomfortable ever!

i test drove about ten brfore buying mine and they were all the same. theres a bit that sticks into the bottom of my back all the time.

its prob to do with how i've got it set but it shouldn't do it in any position. i have the seat in the lowest position

looks like i'll have to take a cushon with me :?

  5. just been to buy a trusty haynes manual from halfords and was told that they don't do one for the corrado :?

so which manual do you guys use?

i've seen a load of CD types on ebay but i'd rather have a paper cory i can refer to whilst at the car

  6. just checked the cap and the seal was half off. replaced it and let it run up to temperature and everything seems ok

i'll go out for a long run just to make sure

thanks for all the advice

    oh and i've got a 2.o 16v

  7. sorry to be asking this sort of thing again cos i've done a search and found others asking similar Qs before.

i've checked the things that peeps have mentioned in other threads and have narrowed the prob down.

my temp gauge is getting too high and when i stop you can see steam coming out of the header tank.

i've checked the two pipes coming off the rad and they are both hot, the top the hotter buts its suposed to be isn't it?

the rad itself is warm so thjat is working ok.

    the fan is working.

i've spotted a drip underneith just by the passengers wheel, but i can't see it through the engine bay, any ideas which pipe it could be?

  8. my mate bought his brother a k&n air filter for his golf vr6 and he has never fitted it.

i've just bought a 2.0 16v c and was wondering if it would fit ok and if not why?

    cheers :)

  9. took the mats out to hoover it out and found that the carpets wet :?

wasn't expecting this from a C, its common on rs turbos cos the battery tray goes and lets it in.

i didn't bother lifting the carpets cos i didn't expect it from a newer car.

the boot is also wet but i think thats probably coming through the lights seal. i had this on my old turbo when i changed the lights and not the seals.

is there a comon place for C's to leak?

its had a new front screen fitted and the seal is loose in places so thats what i'm suspecting at the mo. i'm also thinking thats whats causing the wind noise whilst on the motorway.
