  1. Damn! Knew it was something like that! But my point is the management is good for big horsepower, I maybe wrong here, but didn't volkspeed run g60 management on that 20v block that they put a dizzy and a s/c on in that caddy?
  2. How much power you going for? There was a guy from Holland (I think) called Johren Dik, you may have heard of him, he's created some crazy horsepower G60's in the past (some 16v G60's too) think he could get just over 400 bhp on standard managment!
  3. Thanks to Glenn aka Bojmobile for sorting me out with a splitter :D
  4. Bloody hell! You're pretty handy with the spanners then!!! Sweet car buy the way
  5. Love Ventos! Good buy mate! :D
  6. Looking forward to seeing the pics of this, thinking of following in your footsteps here!
  7. They're called Audi 4 U, they're also a VW/Audi breakers, believe it or not, one of their mechanics put Neils Passats engine in for them! They're here.
  8. There's a better place in Bridgwater for VAG tuning anyway.
  9. I phoned the up to get a surprised girl on the phone who knew nothing about the offer, she looked it up and confirmed that there were three sets left. Then she rang me back 20 min later to say she couldn't find any of them!!!
  10. I thought the 7mm allen bolts held the caliper to the carrier, the carrier is bolted on with 19mm bolts, 8v ones are part of the hub.
  11. I can't picture the bolt you mean, but you can get stud extractors that you can hammer in and pull the broken bolt out with....
  12. Know exactly how you feel! Mine's been off the road since October and I'm tempted everyday to go out and give it a blast! Don't think I'll bother now tho!
  13. Yeah, I'm running std G60 throttle body if you want more info on it go here.
  14. I've gotta turbo conversion on my G60 and when putting in the oil feeds, a tap was taken off of the top of the oil cooler. Most halfway decent car shops will have a catalogue you can look at to get a union from. Also I'm pretty sure you can put a 16v head on a G60 bottom end, it's also possible to put G60 pistons in your KR bottom end. Wouldn't worry about running G60 management, it's good for about 360bhp! There's a German (or Austrian) guy called Joren(sp) Dik, who's been getting crazy horsepower with G60/16V for over 10 years now, it might be worth researching him.
  15. Brake pads are quite easy (and reletively fool proof), Especially if you have a haynes manual, the only special tool you need is a brake windback tool, but you can do without if you fancy pushing it back. Just remember not to get any of that grease on the discs or friction area of the pads!
  16. Ahhh, I wouldn't bother then...unless you drive it really hard!
  17. It's the plastic end caps that bother me...
  18. How old are your top mounts? They tend to go after a while and you need to have to suspension off to change them.

    Gauge Instalation

I've got some of those gauges in mine, like crasher said, it depends on what engine you have. if it's a g60, there's a couple of senders on the top of the oil filter, I used a union on one of these. Not sure, but think valvers may be the same, no idea about vr's though. Dave
  20. If you're gonna be swapping cogs around, you may as well stick the vr 5th in there as well as it has a nice high ratio for motorway crusing. And it's on the outside of the box anyway!!
  21. A plate is on my list too, allbeit very low down. You can get a plate to read Jxxx GGO that looks like G60 and is a fair bit cheaper
  22. I'm collecting re-map money for mine, which is exactly what I asked santa for
  23. Loving the look. 8) Don't worry about the lights...just use the force
