Shushhhhh!!! Don't say that!!!

Well done Nick! It's amazing how much you can learn by just getting in there and having a go at it! Good luck with it and give me a shout if you get any problems, I only live down the road(ish)! :D

Well they're gonna try it out in Birmingham first, so with any luck, they'll see it doesn't work there and scrap the idea.
-
Ha! No worries mate....I'll certainly put them to the test!!
-
Won...They had a go at a "let's see what we can get when we don't put a reserve on them" ....Think I gotta bargain! Thanks for the info Darren, just what I needed! :thumbleft:
-
This is what I won. They just need the specs so they can build them.
-
Because I won them on ebay

Does anyone know the specs for the pistons? I'm having a set of pistons made for a 1900 conversion I'm doing on the G60, and I need the size and compression ratio of them. Any clues would be much appreciated. :D

Damn, I was gonna say that too!!! Think this thread needs a poll!!!

My old engineering tutor used to say "buy cheap stuff, when it breaks replace the individual tools with good ones and you'll have a tool kit that didn't cost the earth, but can do all that hard stuff" By the way, I reccommend a breaker bar and a BIG hammer!!! But if you buy allfrauds pro stuff (or draper expert, or snap on etc) and manage to break it, they'll replace it without need for reciepts etc.

Big thanks to ving60 for sorting me out with that pipe super fast!!!

Funny you should say that, i'm currently thinking about taking my rear seats out to mount a spare rim/subtle stereo install! So yes!

Lovely mate. Prefer them to the new ones too! A friend of mine has one, he put the Miltek system on it with an AMD remap and then went on to do about 8.5 min round the ring!!! They are such a tool!

After my run in with a pothole, I had to put a black wheel on to get me home and thought it looked kinda cool. Could anyone take my pic and paint the wheels black, just so I can see what it would look like? What I'm after is 1-all the wheel black, 2-just the inner part black Cheers Guys...
-
No worries mate, I'll just have to get on and have a go myself! Cheers for the idea though!

Andi, have you gotta pic mate?

The cubbyhole mod is standard on some Corrados, DDI even do gauges to fit them too! It was pretty easy to fit them, DDI supplies the instructions to do it all, you just gotta be brave and have the dash apart. The problem with the needles is they don't light up, whereas the old setup shone light onto them, the backlight setup doesn't so it's a little tricky at night, but it's still easy to see the needle against the numbers.
-
If you contact Zarman on here, he can sort you out with some (being the main DDI man!) I've got a set in mine and they look mint and match my boost gauge! Only thing is I still haven't got the needles to light up at night!

Looking good Nick! Good luck putting the rest of the car back together. Remember, let me know if you need a hand!
