    Buying tips

Brilliant. Cheers, i remember seeing the guide, but couldn't find it so thought i'd ask. It had it's MOT yesterday and apparently flew through it, but it's always best to double check everything's ok.

    Buying tips

Hi, I'm going to see a corrado 1.8 16v tonight with a view to swapping it for my motorbike.Does anyone have any advice or tips on what to look for when buying a Corrado? Cheers, grim
  6. Ok, try 225/40 R16. This is probably the smallest/closest tyre size that would be recommended for fitment to a 16x9 rim. :brickwall:
  7. depends on the rim measurements to be honest
  8. Ouch. have you changed the tyre size now?
  9. Hey Trev, 205/40 R16....on 16x9" rims.....i'd recommend against that personally. You'd generally need a tyre with a larger section width to suit that rim. Going by the ETRTO (effectively the bible to the tyre and rim rim industry), you should really try 225/40 R16, but even then you may struggle to find anything. If you'd like, give me the front tyre size, and i'll do some calculations and suggest a replacement size. You'd probably notice an improvement on handling too. Ian
  10. Good point....why didn't i think of that. If i end up getting it, it shouldn't be a bad buy. The spoiler still works, bodywork is mint (and even the red paint has faded yet), interior is very tidy. Apparently it used to be a show car.
  11. Thanks for that info. I'm hoping to go and check it all out. hopefully my mechanic will be able to come and have a look, but with those points in mind i have a starting block. The only other bit thats bad is the motor in the driver side electric window, but i imagine that will probably only be about £50 or around about.
  12. Can anyone help? I've decided to swap my bike in favour of a car.....and the Corrado is the only the i really want. I've pretty much found the one i want, and am waiting to confirm a deal. But the one thing that i'm worried about is a problem with the clutch. It may only be a small thing, but apparently, every now and again the clutch pedal sticks. The guy reckons it could just be a spring that needs replacing, however, he has not had this done, so i'd like to find out more before i commit myself, as i've spent a lot of money on the bike. Any idea's? and if anyone is interested in parting with the Corrado and having a bike, drop me a line.
