if you are paying for any marriage costs on credit card , make use of the balance transfer credit cards, divide the amount transfered over the length of interest free period and make fixed regular payments, before you know it you'll be clear off the debt , if it gets un-manageable sell the corrado and pay it off.

is the fan connected with a plug that can only go one way? i ask as i once connected the wires incorrectly and took me ages to figure out my fan was blowing the wrong way and that was the reason why my car wouldnt cool down.

checkout the posts from "apaper" in this thread. http://forums.vwvortex.com/showthread.php?4853797 I cut MDF base to attach to the door( exactly as in the thread) then a speaker adaptor ring to bring the speaker forward as close to the door pocket, but not to close that when the cone moved it touched the pocket. you do have to cut some of the door car behind the pocket to get the adptor ring through.

They were on the pockets already , presumably someone had screwed aftermarket grill to the front. I might fill them in one day.

It's covered in glue , so I guess the large plastic nut broke off and the previous owner tried to bodge it. Will order the entire thing from vw tomorrow.

I bought some door pockets off eBay, scooped out all the unnecessary plastic , mounted the speaker to the door. I wish I had taken some pics , but I got inspiration from a post on vwvortex , will track it down and post up
