  1. Shame, still worth going as i'm only 20 mins away. RS4's are always worth watching! Hopefully see some other C's parked up there.
  2. Just wondered if VDubs will be able to race too? Was there at the VW/Audi track in July - loved seeing the RS4's tackling the supercharged R32's!!
  3. The V6 Clio - yes, especially as they've stopped production. The Civic Type R - No.....too common (especially in Swindon)....although I do respect them alot - all that power from a 2.0L naturally aspirated engine. Not sure if 350Z's will be rare enough cos they're VERY popular. The C was overpriced so not many were sold. Basically the C fits the perfect formula for a future classic! It's all things to all men!
  4. The Golf R32 would have to be up there.....made limited numbers....very subtle looking (people don't really know how quick they are, much like the C).....pretty quick on the A roads especially, lovely engine tone with a Milltek fitted. Well respected even in the non-VW world. They were even being hailed on a Mercedez forum that I stumbled across. And best of all, strap a supercharger to them and you've got a super-car destroyer. If I could afford it i'd certainly lock one up to bring out in years to come. Love 'em.
  5. Thanks for the compliments. As far as I know it's the original badge...was on the car when I bought it and hasn't been sprayed.

    Hello

I think as soon as you climb up on a VR and hear that V6 symphony, you'll be sold!! That's what clinched it for me. Just the way the note changes into a howl when you step on it! :D P.S. A good Storm is worth every penny
  7. Hard to believe it'd be a new scirocco over a corrado?
  8. Yeah maybe it was a an FQ340, oops I meant IX (was on an 04 plate)? Awesome cars but I think of Evo's and Scooby's as a bit chav - like JC said, they're just bar brawlers! Not many cars out there as cool as the C!...by 'cool wall' standards they'd be in the sub zero section with the DB9!!!
  9. Yeah great piece of television. I encountered an Evo IV FQ430 (I think) the other day - was following it round a roundabout onto a dual carriageway. With a bit of encouragement from me he opened up and left me like I was going backwards!!! Not really knowing just how fast it was I looked it up on the web.......0-60 in 4.3 secs! Looking forward to the new series of TG.

    Corrado Storm

Agreed, i'd go for about a 30mm drop at least (check with insurance company how much extra bunce you'll have to pay)......but I'd keep the solitudes on...all part of the Storm identity. Definitely keep all the original parts.
  11. You realise just how rare they are when you can drive around for a couple of weeks and not see a single C! I think I've only ever seen 2 rados on a motorway in 2 years.....and i'm on the M4 everyday! I guess it's cos alot of us have other daily drivers and only bring the C's out for weekend posing sessions!! 8)
  12. Cheers guys. Yeah was in a bit of dilemma with the rear lights cos I really don't like the original orange ones...think they put years on the car. These are the M3 crystal smoked.......which actually look a bit more subtle (less bright) in real life. I got them after I saw Guy's tasty supercharged Storm (N*** GUY) in PVW with them on.
  13. Hi everybody, thought that seeing as i'm new to this forum i'd officially introduce myself and my 'rado. I'm Adam and I've owned a '95 Mystic Blue Storm for the last year. I've always been a VDub nut, but mainly into the Club GTI scene. When I bought the 'rado it was totally standard. I really wanted to keep it that way but knew that a 30mm drop was required. Then i thought seeing as I was gonna do that I might aswell add a few more subtle enhancements whilst still in keeping with the 'factory' look. So this summer it went to AmD for £3K worth of pampering! New suspension, wishbones, bushes, front brakes, Milltek exhaust, Magnecor leads, remap and rolling road, and a few other bits and bobs. They spent 19 man hours on it and the results were superb! The 'Storm' number plate added the finishing touch. Now just needs a wheel refurb and new colour coded grill (original was damaged so replaced with temporary black one) then she'll be minty. Milage - 87k Full VAG and specialist history. Here's a few piccies (quality isn't too crystal clear but you'll get the general idea!)............................. all comments both positive and negative welcome!
  14. Just managed to pick up my Lupo wipers from the main stealers in Swindon (Mann Egerton). I too quoted the old set number and they had them in stock. They probably have more available. £49.07 for the lot is far more of a handsome price. They weren't aware of any discounts offered for Club GTI and CCGB members on parts but they did say there was a discount for members on servicing?! Might investigate that further. Can't wait to get home and fit these bad boys now!! Really quite excited!
  15. Just renewed my premium with Direct line - only cost 420 squids! (fully comp with protected no claims)....not bad i thought considering it's been chipped and lowered.
  16. You're right bout that. I regularly see a red G60, a red K reg 16 valver, and a Mystic Blue Storm (personalised plate A19 ***) which is always parked a couple of hundreds meters from my work in Blagrove by the VW stealers. I've been cruising round Swindon for the last year to add to the ante!......always on the lookout, never off duty!
