Hi After losing my rado vr6 after 3 years due to it being wrote off,(a car side swiped me) I have purchased mk3 1997 golf gti 8v for now,( until i find a vr6 with a/c and less than 60K) The seats in this gti are too small and not comfy at all, Do leather recaro front seats have a bigger back rest than the standard gti front seats? thanx jay

hi, i have a 1994 m reg corrado vr6 with full documented vwsh in red with 136000 on the clock any idea what its value is? it was mint until 3 hours ago when someone drove into the side of it i`m just thinking that the insurance might write it off and offer me less than £2000 thanx jay

hi i took my car to vw specialist they did the camber and traced the front end it took about 3 hours to do, the vibrations are there all the time at any speed, my car went into vw a few weeks ago due to a leak on the timing chain area which had leaked into the clutch and contaminated it VW said that the engine had to come out to fix the leak on the timing chain housing due to where it was leaking, do they remove the drive shafts to get the engine out? thanx jay

hi its not the cat for sure, i had a new clutch 12 months ago from VW but recently sprung a loil leak and contaminated the clutch and it was replaced a few weeks ago, but with both clutches when i reverse up the steep drive it stinks like clutch burn ! it has a slight judder on the bite its going back to VW ( the amount of money they charge compared to there work ethics is shite) is it because i am reversing up a steep drive, thanx jay

hi, i own a 1994 rado vr6, i can not get the drivers door open, i do not have a key to fit the door handle, the central locking works on the passenger door and boot but on the drivers door the door pin does not pop up, the same time this happened the central locking carried on for about 15 seconds as if it was still opening, how do i fix this ? how can i get my door open ? thanx jay

hi, i own a 1994 rado vr6, my car has vibrations through the steering wheel, wheels have been balanced, track rod ends done, camber and tracking done, struts changed, recently my engine was taken out by vw , could this affect the steering if something has not been put back right or not tightened, anyone any ideas? thanx jay

i have the same problem with lots of play (front & back), i stripped mine down and there is a plastic/rubber bush that fits in the end of the cable that attaches to the gear stick shaft, mine has fell to bits, vw can not replace this on its own but you have to replace the cable £90 which includes the new bushes jay

hi i have a 1994 rado vr6, the clutch has recently been replace by vw, when i reverse i get a horribe smell coming through the vents and i can smell it outside the car, i have to reverse it up a steep drive, any ideas? is the clutch faulty? thanx jay

hi i own rado vr6 94, trying to change the track rod ends is turning out to be a nightmare, the bottom lock nut keeps spinning the shaft, any one any ideas? thanx jay

yeah cheers but i don`t think you can adjust the camber.

hi i own a 94 rado vr6, i have problems with my front struts since replacing them, the camber appears as if it is out when you look from the front of the car, when i changed the front struts i replaced them with boge turbo gas ones and intially i thought i had reassembled them wrong and that was the problem, but when i replaced the 2 lower bolts on the strut there was quite a bit of play there, could this affect the camber? should there be any play there? would appreciate any help thanx jay

hi i own a 94 rado vr6, the front shocks were finished so i replaced them with boge turbo gas replacements, it feels as if something is not right on the car after fitting these. are the above similar to the original? does anyone know the correct lay out of the strut, spring, spring plate, bearing and rubber mounting,nut. then the final suspension plate and nut.? when putting the strut back on the car do i tighten the bottom and the top whilst the car is on the jack? would appreciate any advice thanx jay

if you did get the chain done the clutch is half way done i only had to pay for the clutch parts at vw jay

hi if you get it done, get the timing chain done as well whilst the heads is off, it cost me £1670 at VW but that included clutch, timing chain new belts, cv joint, spark plugs and gearbox mount and a new battery and £120 to get the head skimmed in a specialist garage, it cost a lot of money but its come with 2 year warranty, the only ball ache was i had to collect my head and send it off to be repaired. jay

hi the plastic bits have broken off the gear shift cable that connects to the gear shift lever, and VW have quoted me £86 for the part. anyone know if i could get the part cheaper? thanx jay
