hi i have a 94 vr6 and mine is absolute bitch to go in first,and the rest of the gears are fine but all feel loose with lots of play, i took it to vw and it needs new selector rods £428 inc of labour, waiting to see wot discount i can get first! soz no idea about your revs. jay

hi i have a rado vr6 1994 model, been having problems with the fans coming in at different temps, 2nd stage comin in at 80 degrees, took it back to vw they said they had connected some wires wrong somewere and now its rectified, now the 1st stagefans kick in at just over 100 degrees and according to the manual it should kick in earlier, now all the sensors in the thermo housing have been replaced and the thermo switch in the rad has been replaced. any idea what it could be ? or is it algirght to leave it as it is? could it affect the engine by leaving to run to a 100 degrees ? i`m just pissed off going back to vw all the time, been back in touch with vw they reckon that the fans are coming in correctly and that the temp guage in the car is not always accurate is this true? thanx jay

hi just got my rado vr6 back from the vw after havin the head gasket and clutch, battery, spark plugs, ball joints,thermostat, engine mounts and exhaust done,and timing chains. the car drives spot on the only thing is the 2nd speed fan is coming on at 80 degrees on the temp guage, is it possibe vw have put some thing back to front when putting the car back together after the above work being done? it had all the coolant sensors replaced 6 months ago. now vw have said it is the coolant sensor that is faulty and they will replace this but it wasn`t like this before it went into them. anyone any ideas? thanx jay

hi i have a rado vr6 1994 the rear spoiler does not work, when i first bought the car it was unpugged in the tailgate, i connected it and it seem to work, then it kept blowing the fuse that also works the sunroof, i kept changing the fuse but now it does not work at all. any ideas? thanx jay

hi i have a rado vr6 `94 i am thinking of putting the weitec suspension kit on 40 mm drop is it better than the original setup thanx jay

piston crowns look cleaner, but the bores are no were near as clean unless its the picture.

to be honest theres black on some of them not all, i`m going up tomorrow to have a proper look, 1 of them had fluid on it, the bores look brand new.

thanx could i spray them with a decoke agent or should i just leave it alone?

hi i have a rado vr6 the head currently is being reconditioned at a specialist, the car is at vw, i noticed that there is lots of carbon on top of the piston heads, i asked the dealer about it, they said the engine block is fine, they did not seem helpful. anyone else found this on theirs? will tha carbon affect the engine in anyway? does this need to come off? if so how does it come off? thanx jay

hi i have a 94 rado vr6, currently in vw get head gasket and exhaust done, i need to change my suspension as front struts are cabbaged, i have read all the threads on suspension just can`t decide what to get all i want is to lower the ride and keep it comfy. advice appreciated. thanx jay

hi i have a m`reg rado vr6 the cylinder head gasket needs changing now one vw dealer has quoted me £603 inclusive of vat ( 4 hours labour) the other a vw dealer has quoted me £1200 inclusive of vat ( 10 hours labour) any one any idea how long it actually takes?

hi i have a raddo vr6, but desperatley need air con, cos in the summer its just gets too hot. does any body have one with air con ? and does it get really cold? appreciate your advice and views thanx jay

yes sometimes it blows when i use the switch yes i have changed the radio but when i bought the car the spoiler was unpluged so there was a fault already there i think when it did function it come up in stages rather than one smooth motion i`ve tried grease but now it does not work at all any suggestions?????

hi i have 94 m reg raddo vr6 i had compression test done and it confirms the head gasket needs replacing. it leaking the exhaust gases into the coolant system, does the head need to be skimmed ? there is no oil in the coolant or coolant in the oil. thanx jay

hi got a 94 vr6 rado head gasket is goin had atest done and there is exhaust gases in the coolant expansion tank it is not losing power or coolant do i need 2 change the head gasket yet ? and also the timing chain is worn do i get them done the same time? can anyone one recomend a garage in the north west? ? once head gasket is replaced will it run as good as before? thanx jay or should i part ex it for v6 4motion

i had it on my vr6 it was the 2 fuel lines that run along the top of the egine on the drivers side when the car was cold it was there and then went as it warmed up they pipes were about 40 pound each from vw jay

thanx for the advice i will change the brake fluid the brakes seem to work fine but when u really slam on the pedal seems to travel excessively near enough to the floor
