NICE! Coilies and 18's next.. have a look at Yeti's Turbo-Dismal Land-barge... they truely look huge when dropped and wheeled! Parked his next to the Rado and it made it look like a Mk2 with "Rallye" front end... -
Expect Si to be running about 2hrs late now he has to decide what shirt is suiutable for the occasion he's leaving for in his TT! Good daily and at least it's stayin in stable... and not some frog-box/oil-burner/Essex Engineered POS! :cuckoo: I give you 2 months to break it, sorry Tune it!
-
In Before the Jailor-lock! Gotta love Late VR's "Baja" style! KW's if you're feeling flush!
-
Now there's the sign of an ex MOD turns a request to a sale! Tom read your "pain" thread... best way to go replace all in one go! I too have some "Temporary" repairs, but think they were done by the Pikeys I paid to put the old Stereo/alarm in! Moral of that story don't trust ICE shops with Skyline GTS as demo cars!

Karl, I know he's a bit of an Ar$e but try PMing Mike the Polisher on ED sure he'll have a solution? Have a feeling I rad somewhere the bolts are Titanium on those? But could be wrong and are "just" hi-tensile stainless. Do these BBS bolts need a specific tool like the othrs? Wheels looking good though!

Thanks Phil... Wheels are waiting for adaptors to come in to Voodoo them hopefully I can crack on with getting the coilies fitted too! Oh and get the master/slave cylinders changed too! :( -
Hang on I'll ask a VAG-Mole.. :norty:
-
Just for you Jim! IIRC they aren't massivly expensive... had this with teh 8v GTi Engine in the Scirocco a few years ago!
-
MAd Q but know anyone with an I/R temp meter? The kind you just point at stuff? Could be worth checking hoses etc with one of those too, that way you're not relying on possibbly duff sensors/guages!

Old style razor blade!

PICS: Not a lot as I wanted to get the damn things in as they'd been sitting in the spare room for months! Amazing what you find when you do this! Leaves, Twigs, Wood chips and glass! No money though :( Rears in (Still have to get the hump brakets welded in but it stays put!) The all improtant pearches... lovely! -
"Dragged it out the Garage"??? As in your car was Found IN someone's garage? I hope they cuffed the :censored: to the underside before they dragged it out! Feel for you mate, seen the car yet? May not be that bad, some companies right-off Rados on very minor damage these days. Problem of not quite being a "Classic" yet, just seen as old cars... :mad2:
-
Now a definate "clunk" from the Pedal at the top of it's travel... Master Cylinder's seals are dying I'm guessing?
-
Does anyone have any data as to how many Corrados were sold into each market? Looking into the possibility of getting a Rado in Denmark but never really seen one there (Mk2's by the bucket though, and V.few Mk3's? ) So just wondering if I'm on a hiding to nowt if they weren't sold in that market... Imported 2nd hand cars attract a "180% of value" Import tax to get them registered! :gag: :cuckoo: :brickwall:
-
Gavin, Looks great! Maybe see you at the next Nomads meet on 5th March? As you're local! Oh keep an eye out for an Orange Audi Coupe (down by East), owned by Mark an ex-Nugget owner who can't stay away from bright colours!
-
Henny, had same thing on my GTi Scirocco, ate the gasket between 2/3 IIRC (10 yrs ago) but basically the same symptoms, completely missed water and oilways too so didn't show as "Mayo cap" either... Even got away with no skim too!
-
Bugger... :( How bad?
-
Borbet C whore ressurection! Welcome Back Henny!
-
PMSL So true though! Like the M25/A10 tunnel! :notworthy:

Up in the Air, then turn one wheel, see if other turns other way (With no engine on obviously) Will give a quick Diff check, If nothing happens at the other wheel... Busted diff If the other wheel turns same direction... busted diff If the other wheel turns opposite direction ... diff OK From memory... Some-one will probably correct me...

"Nah bro I get one of dem Shiznit electric superchargers of e-bay innit! Dey Da Bomb!" :epicfail: Jon, have a look at the torque read out from Stealth that Dave posted on page 2 of the Original (Linked) post. You'll see what I mean by looking at the Red trace (stock 9a) and the Blue one (9a and KR). Peak Torque, Stock 126@6300: 9a and KR 149@5200
-
Cheers Dave, Cat will go as it's a 92 9a so can be binned.. legally! Any ideas about the reported 027 "Big valve" KR heads/ cams too? Seeing a lot on ED but we all know it's "Scenery" over there? Just wondering if there's any point swapping over to these too? Or is a KR cam a KR Cam?
-
Continuing from Here as it's been locked... I'm completely confused! 9a, with Cat what's best? KR Inlet (which i have in the shed) or pair of ABF's? Would like to know as Driving in London a lot means Torque is needed rather than high end revs, but would like some Useable poke at the 4k on mark for when I get out of town... Looking at the First Graph Dave posted (From Stealth) 149ft/lb @ 5200 seems quite handy over the stock 128ft/lb @ 6300 plus looks like it picks up better low down too! Also the 50mm inlet question... does it hurt low-down torque? Or a worthwhile Mod on a KR/9a hybrid engine?
