  1. Danny.. if you can try out some good stock fabric seats first... if you can borrow one... You might find the lower back pain's from the small amount of "sliding" you tend to get on leather... Found with a Daimler I chauffered in years ago did the same to me, and they had sofe quality seats... was just down to the little movements from driving and you unconciously moving to counteract them...
  2. Ok have a set of Headlights (ok about 3 sets) to rebuild into a good single set, problem I have is... I have 2 good buckets with all the tabs, but they both need good reflectors put in...ones in are yellow... As far as I can see the reflectors are held in by the adjusters on what appear to be clips? So is there an easy way of removing the reflectors without breaking anything, and as/more important, putting them in without breaking the clips or ripping the silvering? Also any tips for what to clean the silvering with that won't damage it? Any advice/tips more than welcome, and I'll try and get a write up for the Wiki done... if I can find the digi-camera.
  3. Bought 10 and made on good one! Yeah ok 35k a bit rich for a year! Gforceuk... is this your car we're discussing? If so the 6k engine re-build should have taken Chains/clutch into account! You diodn't go to TCS did you? :gag:
  4. And the reply was??? With some love and attention it could be made good again! Where's Toffee when we need something rescued! (And yes I know It's in Cali and he's in Canada!)
  5. Andy, how did your "late" G have early Recaros in it?? Bought in after I guess?
  6. Looks like a good location with lots of light... Open and Empty at night then???
  7. Damn Common Recaros! Don'tthink I ever seen Red Striped ones??? Or Geometrics either!
  8. So The Recaros seem to be the "FAT-BOY" option then? Mate did say my stockers were more supportive than his Recaros... But I tend to get cramp in my leg after 2-3hrs... Could be my age though (before you all jump on the "Fogey" bandwagon)
  9. Yup another of these threads but this time they are Rado ones (not Ford etc) But what is the material??? Am I right in thinking they are Ultra Violet? And if so do the early and late versions of the cloth differ? Thought early version had light grey outer cloth. This appears charcoal Grey...
  10. Like saying which is better Ham Or Cheese :norty: :cuckoo: I'd say get the FWD knockers to take a trip in Mr-Wires car then say RWD is better! But if I have the option.. I'd go 4wd all day! (Haldex Mic?) As you say in BTCC/WTCC there's some tracks that suit FWD and some that suit RWD... it really is horses and courses, in the "Real world" it's more down to the person sat in the car...
  11. corradog60stage4 Just to re-cap... you have 4300 in the main/fogs and 6000 in the high beam (spots)? Hence the difference in color between the Spot and Main? :confused4:
  12. Ok couple questions... 1/ same for teh 16v/G60 as it is for the VR? 2/ There's no definative answer about the Mk3 Carrier and slider pins... Are they needed? :confused4:
  13. Hang on BOTH front seats? Tell you what, I'll bring some of my new interior up and we can fit that Saturday, whilst your beastie's being MOT'd how's that?
  14. $6m Corrado.... Dah-dah-dah-daaahhh... etc (Only applicable for those over 30 or so! )

    Body Mods

Is it me or does the Plate panel in the top one scream Photo-plop? TBH as said in another thread on these bumpers recently.. Looks Tosh with the plate moved...
  16. Ah I see.. Mine went along the lower panel tie-wrapped through the long holes and behind the "Horn support" (snigger)... For me I thought better chance of not chafing wiring harness, and again keeps it away from the bay and the major heat source (rad) for as long as it's moving or fan is on! Awesome though aren't they! :luvlove:
  17. Yup I have the OEM's and wanted them just to provide a bit more Longevity/ weather resistance to the connectors, plus safe in the knowledge that they can't be bumped off by vibrations... Peace of Mind really! Other than that no difference! Now All I need to do is get some Double sided hook and loop tape as my relays are TEMP. tie-wrapped to the top of the battery! Sonic where did you route the wires behind the grille? on the slam panel or rad support panel?
  18. hey thanks mate, well i sometimes get heat for like 5 mins then goes cold (strange). but other than that nothing. Hmm sounds like it could be an air-lock in the matrix... how's the engine temps?

    ABS rings

Anyone know if I can use a Mk3 Goof ABS ring on the front of my 16v? Had a bent ABS ring which when straightened seems to have sent the ABS into a complete spazz, so having to run disconnected ATM.. mate has a spare mk3 ring that was removed from a new hub for a customer...
  20. Kip it's a 91 16v so old style sliders... Easy way to check is to pop the stereo out and look down! :norty:
  21. Possibly the cables need sorting out? do you feel any resistance when sliding them? Do you get any heat from anywhere?
