  1. Yeh as stated be careful with the tint on the front windows, my girlfriend got pulled by OB :lcop: in her mk2 gti and was led to a nearby car park where VOSA inspectors checked over her car  , her windows only allowed 20% daylight (needed to be 70%+) and was issued a 'Roadworthiness Prohibition Notice', basically got 7 days to rectify the tints and had to call for inspector to check and sign off as ok. They also checked her apparently noisy scorpion exhaust which passed ok thank god! Then told when leaving that she was only allowed to drive the car home or to a garage with the front windows wound down - unbelievable!!! IMPORTANT: the VOSA tinted window leaflet they gave her states that excessively front side windows will invalidate you insurance, the police told her if she had an accident her fault or not if her insurance wouldn't have to pay. :pale:
  2. Price sounds very reasonable, as earlier stated if door cards are included in price (but is this cash price or is there VAT on top?), will need to souce some recaro front seats first though.
  3. I firstly would like to thank my father for my VW addiction, sadly he passed away xmas 2004. He owned 13 beetles (one of then i sold him), passat, mk1 golf and porche 911. My second car was a 73 beetle and fith was a 71 bug then followed numerous company cars and a weekend custom 64 bug, until a year and a half ago when i changed job and had to buy my own. Bought a 1990 mk2 golf gti in calypso green but longed for a corrado after seeing them at shows, so i sold the golf and bought a cheap 1.8 16v rado to test, loved the looks, spoiler, seating position and handling etc but this car did have a few niggles so decided to sell and find the best i could afford, after studying the history of the rado i decided the G60 was the only way to go for me! So got a 91 G60 rado now had it nearly a year and love it! PS thanks to Andy the previous owner for parting with it, dont worry it is in good hands and get serious time and money spent on it.
  4. Old Slool Raver! A blend of D&B, hardcore, trance and acid techno, i will never grow up! still free-partying most weekends!
  5. Put chrome door latches on yesterday! the drivers side went on done in ten minutes sorted, passenger side took twice as long? then i closed the door and it wouldn't open from the inside or the outside, oh my god i was in a panic, opened a can of beer to think and reboot brain - ahh!!! - central locking doh! Then i popped the bonnet, UTTER FILTH!, so this took another 4 cans of beer :drinking: to complete and a bad back but well worth it, even the missus was impressed until i realised where this compliment was going, yeh i have to clean her engine bay now as well. :| photo probs? click album link below!
  6. my first corrado was on a 'G' plate, that had wind up windows but elec sunroof weird would of preferred it the other way round, VAG colour was one i have never seen again on a rado either in dark metallic green, can't remenber paint code , still have some pics of the ol' girl though!

  11. Hi all, Spent most of yesterday at 'The Phirm' getting ride height correct and arches rolled, went for 5mm spacers ing the end, tried the 8mm ones first but rear wheels stuck out too far and just didn't look right.
