  1. I've just got rid of the boost return on my G60 but i dont get any cool whooshing sound when i change gear. My charger only makes about 9 psi (completely stock), how much do i need to be able to hear the "whoosh" sound? Rob
  2. Any one running a second inlet on their G60? Just thinking about removing the boost return pipe but seems like a bit of a waste to cap the inlet off. Any one got a pics? Cheers, Rob
  3. The best position for ur tweeters is as far away from ur ears as possible. This is to get the soundstage as far forward as possible. The 2 best locations are: 1) In the corners of the dash, where the windscreen meets the top of the dash. I have mine here but they require some attenuation from the crossovers as they can be quite bright. 2) In the kickwells angled upwards, somewhere between where the headrests. Rob
  4. o.k I need to start sorting my G60 in the next couple of months. So I need to know where the best place is to buy everything from. Here's what I think I need: 1) Stage 4 uprgrade to charger- I'm thinking jabbasport here, post it off 2) 65mm pulley 3) shorter serpentine belt 4) SNS chip 5) 3.5 bar FPR 6) Oil cooler Kit 7) RSR or "ralley" style outlet 8) supersprint or similar stainless steel exhaust 9)Anything else you think I need I wanna use only 1 or 2 companies ideally to save on hassle Any advice will be appreciated, Rob
  5. The gas strut that holds the boot lid up has snapped off on that nipple bit that bolts to the body. Anyone know if I can get one from the scrappy? Will a passat or golf strut fit? Cheers, Rob
  6. Yeah my Corrado is completely standard and the supercharger is leaking oil. But I agree my car has seen better days as it was only me in the car at the time. Been generally trying to take it easy until i can afford to get the charger upgraded. Hopefully getting a boost guage next week so i can see whats happening.
  7. Just got hammered by a god forsaken SAXO that was 4 up! Off at the lights for a straight up hill sprint, could'nt keep up with him. I definitely need to get my G60 sorted its embarrasing.
  8. I dont understand how the capacitor could've sparked off, isn't it a sealed cylinder with the insulated terminals on the top? You should try checking the Gain settings on your amp, set them low so as not to drive it into clipping at high volume. Class A amps are the most inefficient class of amps so this could be why its getting hot. You could try removing the CAP, I would'nt have thought you would need it if all your powering is the one sherwood.
  9. I assume these Cat replacement pipes are just a straight through piece of pipe. If this is so, then what happens to the Lambda probe? Do they just cut it off, or do they somehow plumb it back into the replacement pipe? Cheers, Rob
