Thanks mate let me know once you checked it. :D. I think I need a 6PK1642 belt after a quick google session, but not certain. Is the belt made by BBM?
-
I have just installed a 68mm pulley to my charger, but the belt seems a little slack for my liking. I was just wondering if you need to put a smaller belt on? Thanks for your help. Dave..

Hi is it possible to fit an early miltek cat back exhaust to a late bar type car? If i was to change the rubbers and hangers that bolt on to the underside of the car? The car is a 1992 g60 with a cat and is the later bar type.

ABS pump noise at low speeds or slowing to a stop
corrado g replied to corrado g's topic in Drivetrain
The ABS unit is apparenly working ok they is no sign of water ingress and i can hear it clicking. I appriciate the help anyway. The ABS is still behaving the same. :? -
Hi my ABS pump is making a noise as in its trying to activte the ABS and the brake pedal stiffens too. The light goes out on start up so its not the sensors or rotors, any clues to what is causing this? Is it supposed to be like this? Thanks.

In need of a rebuild on my standard charger, but thinking of upgrading to a stage 4 charger, is it essentail to uprate the intercooler? Also, is it worth sticking a superchip with the 68mm pulley?? cheers for any help....

Hi, i recently got my car back from a garage and the wires were cut from my alarm to fit a new ABS pump. The alarm had never worked anyway but now the remote cental locking and the yellow and red LEDs are out, the original wiring was taped up and after stripping them back i found two wires one red and one black from the alarm and three wires all black and all seem to be negative when i connect up the volt meter going to the alarm. How do i reconnect this up? Not bothered about the alarm working just the remote locking. The central locking still works with the key in the door. Any help appriciated, its a conlog system on a 1992 g60. Thanks

Brake pedal has excessive travel after fitting MK4 rear cali
corrado g replied to corrado g's topic in Drivetrain
Well i will update this as i found the problem, wich turned out to be a faultly brake bias valve which had trapped some air in it. Posted up wanted thread :? -
I understand if i was going to upgrade the charger to stage 4 i would have to upgrade the intercooler. On this forum i heard that spinter coolers are the best bet. What type of sprinter would have this? Ie model, year and engine capacity? Many thanks.

I did not pressure bleed the system, nor did i bleed the abs unit. I will have a go over the weekend. Also i didn't bleed it with the handbrake cable disconnected, i thought i was going wrong somewere. Ah well you live and learn thanks guys, i will post up the out come. -
I have just fitted new discs and pads to the rear of my 1992 g60 whilst doing this i fitted mk 4 golf calipers and the hoses to accomodate this. On completion i took the car out on a test run and fluid had leaked from one of the unions so i tightened it and re bled the system. the brakes have never worked since. i bled it trough twice starting the the longest brake line finishing at the master cylinder. i replaced the master cylinder as there was continuous air in it and sometimes you hear of them failing when the system id bled, its still the same £160 later :( It sort of stops if you pump the pedal but its still not road worthy enough. I an stumped as to what it could be and have used the search to no avail. I was wondering if i have missed something? :? Should i bleed the clutch too? Has the servo gone? The car has ABS and it stopped fine beforehand. Any clues? Thanks in advance.

I have pulled the swich apart as it says on the wiki artical and its all working fine as i tested it on another car. Looked at the fuses and the reversing lights are fine so can't be the fuse. The only thing it could be i reckon is the relay if it exists i did a search and some of the resullts said there was a clicking sound. Or the wiring loom has a fault in it somewhere. Where does the loom plug in to when its gone through the doors?
-
bump. any one know if there is a relay. Or is there something else i have missed. Thanks.
-
Hi, as above. I have tried the obvious to fix these, the switch is working as are the motors (tested them in another car). The fuse is ok too. So I was wondering if there was a relay for these as i can't hear a clicking sound when the switch is operated, if there is where is it located? There is no power to the mirrors at all. Tried the search and didn't find anything. Thanks for any reply.
