Here are some other vids where my car was involved. This video was used as a trailer for our second VW run in the UAE. Thats me that gets out of the Corrado! hehehehe. The video was used for our 1st run in the UAE, you dont see loads but the DVDs we produce are fantastic and almost feature length! I am going to organise to post a couple of torrents if anyone is interested in downloading any of the DVD's. Many Thanks.

OK I have bought the engine, but i already have a question. Is it possible to use the original vr6 intake manifold on the 3.2 engine? or could I use a Schrick intake mainfold on it? Just trying to see first of all if it is possible so i would not have to transfer the cooler resovior, bettery ect. to the other side of the engine bay. Many Thanks.

Thank you very much. We have another couple on you tube that were for various vw club runs we did. I will post them up later.

Hi all, I dont see many corrados here in Dubai. So would love to see other cars around the world. Here is mine before I had any problems. But will post another one once the engine starts up.!!!! Just a bit of background about this vid, I got a phone call from a friend who said he just got his golf back on the road and wanted to do a vid with another fast VW, of course i had just finished work and was still wearing my suit.

sounds like this is really going to be a real pain in the butt! I suppose if it was easy evryone would be doing it. Thanks for the info guys. I am going to go for it!! Will post plenty of pics and more than likely post all the problems! :D Thanks again

Excellent!!! Thanks guys! Ok, cheesewire, you mentioned a stand alone ECU, could you recommend one? I think these are a little expensive are they not? I think that I will get the engine this afternoon. Thanks for the help! Will keep you all posted on it.

I have found another 3.2 audi engine, small amount of damage to the oil filler apart from that it looks in pretty good shape! All the other bits and pieces i can easily get hold of. The guy says there are only 15,000 KMS on it!!! Can anyone tell me if a vr6 gear box from my corrado will be able to directly bolt onto this engine? the engine code for the 3.2 is BUB and the vr6 is ABV. I would really appreciate it. Many Thanks!

Hi all, I would like some advice if possible. I am doing an engine conversion, I just want more power! I was orginally going to install a 3.2 Audi engine but the bottom end is really worn and I believe it will be very costly to repair at a later stage. Would anybody be able to recommend a different engine for installation, I have looked at the 1.8t from a 225 Quattro TT, but I really want ease of installation and reliablity. I would also like to keep the 6 cylinders. Out of curiousity would the RS4 engine fit? The good thing is I have been saving for a while to actually buy a new engine as I was always going to do an engine conversion and this little engine problem gave me the push I needed. As you can see I have already pulled the VR6 out of the car and now really stuck for ideas!!!!

Hey all decided that i will be going down this route. Will show loads of PICS!!! I promise i will have loads of questions as well. I just bought a 3.2 v6 Audi engine from an A3. What caused this decision? Well a blown head gasket to be honest and while a shop trying to source one I noticed they had a rear ended A3 sportsback. So out of courisousity i went to have a look and fell in love!!!! When I also found out that it had only 25,000kms, I knew it was a bargain!!!! Now here is the first question. Will I be able to supercharge it, as i have not been able to find any kit readily available for it? For give me for sounding stupid but will the R32 kits fit? The reason I ask is because the R32 produces 225bhp (I think) and the audi produced 250bhp. Cheers

Just realised that the Definitive 24v into a (VR) Corrado thread just about covers all that is needed to know!!!!
-
I have also got a mocal oil cooler, any ideas if i can transplant it directly onto the A3 engine? I have never fitted it, I believe it just fits above the oil filter, so i think it should also be able to fit. Sorry for all the questions, just want to make sure i dont miss anything.

Oh ok, so far i have made a list of possible hurdles; -Exhaust manifold -front engine mount -complete electrical loom -fly by wire -??? Is the transmission the same? Can I continue to use the same cable transmission in the corrado. I think I should also be able to incorporate the climate control system.
-
Excellent start! Cheers guys. I have the OBD1 VR6, I am guessing i will need to modify the loom slightly but it should be easy, as i believe all the sensors and senders for 1993 onwards were designed to send a digital signal. I should still be able to use the a3's ECU I know of a couple metal workshops that create exhausts so maybe they can create a Manifold for me. Would it not be possible to either use the A3's manifold or corrado manifold and just modify it to fit? Obviously there is the worry of cracks at welds, but just a thought. Trying to save money. It is funny you should say a couple of others have done it already as i have not been able to find any info on the conversion. Thanks again.

Hey all, I have come across a small dilema. I have recently found out that my 130,000KM VR6 engine has a leaking head gasket. So while I was looking for a decent garage that could do the work i came across a lot of garages that sell complete engines. Now weighing up the costs (remember I live in Dubai) it is almost the same to buy a used engine as to getting my current one fixed. Now i happened to come across a 3.2 V6 audi engine from an A3. It looks pretty much like the R32, see picture below. Now my question to you all is will it just drop straight in or will there be a need for modification to the mounting points??? Cheers!

It cant be all that bad back there!!! You know eventually you do get fed up all this sun here. Besides the c prefers the colder air and they are not too keen on all this sand. But have to admit its cool having a car that no one knows.

So this has gone a bit quiet, really enjoyed following this up till now. Unfortunally my baby is in the workshop due to blown head gasket. So stuck in the 1.4 clio for a couple of weeks (honestly feel like i am missing half the engine). I requested a DIY kit from SD they gave me the prices for stage 1 and 2 along with the predicted gains. I emailed them back for a list of parts included but still havent had a response. Anyone had the install or DIY kit from them so i know what i will receive if i order. Cheers

Can you ship this abroad? How do you reprogramme it? Sounds complicated but i want one. -
OK mr_fusion was it a bad leak? waited almost a month now to see. Only two days left till it gets a complete re-map as well. Cant wait to see the results as well as hear and see it running. Best of luck! Holding back on purchasing my kit till I see if yours works perfectly and would love to see a video of it running or photos of the bay. If you do have any please email me on mailto:[email protected] Would really like to see how this performs against a vortech. From what I have read so far it will blow it out of the water. Out of curiousity is this a daily runner for you?

Worst thing some has said about ur Corrado
cralstc replied to CorradoDriver's topic in General Car Chat
No one here in Dubai knows what a C is. One of my mates calls mine a golf coupe!!! Does it on purpose to try to annoy me. I mean he is just jealous I beat him from a standing start while he was in his new mustang GT! Had the scirocco comment a couple of times as well. Before the rebuild it was called the heap by my mum. Dad calls it the bone shaker-think he is getting old now! Funny when the Police ask what it is, obviously surprised when you say VW! -
Yes I totaly agree, most parts for the Corrado I have bought from Ebay, America and Germany. But nothing really from the UK. Cheers thanks a lot. Can I ask how is your kit running now? Have you got it all set up and running perfectly? If so do you have any videos of it running. Would like to hear how loud it is. As living in Dubai, there is a limit as to how loud an engine and exhaust can be. Thanks again.

Hi everyone. this my first post and I have a couple of questions. This Rotrex charger sounds amazing. I had a VF stage 2 charger but sold that on. But to be honest really missing that rush, and the chance of seeing most guys faces going from a smile to a rather girly scream! :shocked!: Girlfriend forced sale, since girlfriend has moved back to the UK what she doesn't know wont hurt her!! Where can this kit be purchased? I have looked and found there is rather a limited supply of knowledge on this charger. I dont mind forking out the extra pennies to get it shipped over to Dubai. I am fed up of being overtaken by Porsches. As someone once said the Corrado was VW's Ferrari and I believe it still is.
