  1. At least you are safe and you already sound hopeful to make it better. Still a ****ter though. Has the extra hot weather melted something that was touching metal / power from your drive to work?
  2. I will take the boot struts please. Appreciate the application issue but do they look like they will fit or measure the same length? Cheers Rams
  3. Im just waiting for the rear conversion hoses, should be posted out to me on Monday. Rear beam stripped and going to powder coaters, picked up all new parts from TPS except for second hand vw MK4 Rear brake callipers. The 2 x abs sensors are not from TPS. Picked the callipers for £40 delivered which I was happy with. I dont think I will be painting them red, probably have them powder coated in a dark or silver colour. Handbrake cables will be here Monday along with all new exhaust hangers/bushes. Made the MK4 header tank fit the Rado braket, just need to solder the new wiring and get that fitted. Today I fitted the new headlight switch and replaced the abs lightcover with the older style to match existing. Good old Corrado Forum! My MOT is due in Dec and once all these new parts are fitted, it will cure my ABS fault. I also yesterday adjusted the front suspension to make it softer and its a much better ride. I was beginning to think the Gaz Coilovers were not that great but im much happier now and its just down to getting the set up how you want it. She goes in for new paint - again! next week, hopefully Monday or Tuesday. Bought a litre of Mystic for the work, some areas need sorting to make it spot on again. Steering wheel should be ready next week, changed my mind on some bits so wait and see what you think when it's done. Its different to other steerings wheels currently being re trimmed. Also, my door pods are nearly ready, they have some lovely Rainbow components going in, probably spent too much on these speakers but as they are going to be the only speakers, they had to be good. Look well made with nice spiders. Updates will follow......
  4. You mean you havent sat on them prentending to drive? I think thats why your dog was giving you a funny look! lol I will be keeping an eye open for when you wire them in incase I ever find a set that is.
  5. How much better do they feel in the corners etc, are they as comfy as the look? A perfect addition to your already amazing car!
  6. Looks really smart, clean and tidy. You can definately tell its adored!
  7. Hi all I am offering my presonal registration N16 EVR, ideal if you are called Nigel / Nige and have a VR6. I have seen another personal registration to do with my company name that I wish to replace it with. I have the certificate and can also send the number plates if required. £350 will buy it. Nice number plate and if you name is Nigel - Perfect. Though I would offer this here first as I did have someone ask me how much I wanted for it but never replied. So if you are still out there, nows the chance. Rams
  8. Hi mate, I might be able to help you with the horn push to keep it looking OEM. My steering wheel is with my trimmer atm and he is embossing the horn symbols at either end into the leather to keep it looking OEM. I will show you a picture when its done if it helps give you a better idea but I also had the 2 round centres trimmed as I think it looks odd without doing that bit. Otherwise, the red stiching sets off the speedo dial nicely. What bit did you file down with the early ABS switch? I got Jon Croozings early switch and I tried fitting it when I was replacing the dash and thought, 'well, that wont work'. It's a nice mod. Looks like its meant to be. Wonder why they changed the switch?
  9. Send me your details bud and will sort payment. Cheers

    Late vr6 rear beam/axel

Hi I managed to get one in the end, thanks for offering bud
  11. I always pay by debit card, that way it softens the blow and I dont get to see the cash! My accountant called me recently and said, 'who are TPS? You have an awful lot of receipts from them'! I will tot it all up one day, when im sitting down... Though the smile factor when you have been working till stupid o'clock in a cold garage/workshop, like doing OBD2 for e.g and turning the key for the first time was a moment of pure happiness which really is priceless. I was like Jim Carrey transforming into the Mask lol
  12. Good point Coullstar and thanks for clearing that up
  13. The next time the wheel comes off I will try the space saver on. I read it in one of the replies about the MK4 front brake upgrade. I am sure someone will confirm. Thats why I thought I would mention it again incase it wasn't common knowledge.
  14. Thanks my friend, Placed another nice order with TPS, in preparation for the rear end refurb. Changing the abs rings, rear discs and pads, wheel bearings and calliper bolts. Also ordered 2 new vag rear beam bushes. Didn't bother with polly rears in the end. Also made the MK4 expansion header tank fit last night and lost one of the nut/bolts to hold the expansion bottle so ordered some new replacements. Might need a new abs rear sensor but seem rather expensive, well they are from TPS. Anyone have a part numbers? Still waiting on the door cards and steering wheel and handles to be trimmed, hopefully Tim will have them done soon. Its horrible driving the car with out door cards and undertrays. Noisy and drafty! But once everything is back in, all retrimmed and complete it will be worth the wait. I ordered some lovely Rainbow components from Car audio security, hopefully they will be here this week so the door pods can be made to suit. Should have a replacement rear beam, will get it stripped and coated and have all the new parts fitted This area can then be ticket off. Lastly, I will be having the boot floor levelled so I can sort out the ICE. also, everthing can all be screwed down and more secure. I dont think theres any point holding the space saver wheel as someone said, believe it was Kev that it wouldn't fit over 288 discs.... I suppose it could be handy if the rear goes? Do others keep their spare wheel when running 288's?
  15. I ordered lots of parts today and enquired what the part numbers were for the lambda sensor, they list for a corrado vr6 021 906 265E and I asked what part number it was for a golf VR6 96/97 YEAR and they said it was the same number but ended in A. What part should I order for my OBD2 Rado vr6? Cheers
  16. Super job, cheers chaps.

    Late vr6 rear beam/axel

What do u think postage might cost to bmth?
  18. Cheers guys, cant picture it but when i get my door cards back i should figure it out.
  19. Thanks for that... Does anyone know the OBD2 Part number for the lambda sensor?
  20. I have a det cat pipe, with the lamba sensor bolted into it. Then I changed the management to OBD2 but didnt replace the lamba sensor. Others did to an obd2 lamba senor and wondered what that part number was as they must be different? The plug end - loom wise, connected up, but didnt know if the probe was slightly different obd1 /2? I just have the one sensor. So, I need to get the car hot then vag com it and see if the fault code appears - Cheers
  21. Need the bracket that enables the bottle for power steering fluid to sit next to the washer bottle. Mine has a short bracket that fixes it to the wing so its doesnt sit neatly against the washer bottle and it on the lean. Doesnt matter what condition as I will have it blasted and coated. Cheers Rams
  22. Looking for one to refurb off the car so its not off the road Cheers Rams
  23. Hi, I would like to order a switch, hopefully still available? Question.... Do I still need to do the upgrade the wiring to add the fuse spur or does your new switch not need this mod? I still havent protect my existing switch.
