  1. yep, had a mint blue gt2 until I crashed it, bought the Rado, cos its basically a Rocco, and when you press the brake pedal in a Rado, the car actually comes to a stop quite quickly, unlike the Rocco Absolutely love the look of Roccos, and it was the most reliable car I've ever had, after purchasing it I had it for 2 years and I never spent a penny on it (except fuel!). Had the Rado for 4 months and I've allready spent a good £500 on it.

    Hello

Just out of interest, why did you sell the zx, too costly to run?
  3. very nice looker that.
  4. Good luck, its one of those car jobs, either goes really well, or you spend allday trying to get that blasted screw in and out! Depending which part of South Wales your in, I could pop along to help/lend verbal support. (I do have freakishly thin and long fingers which are ideal for this job!  )
  5. Thats rubbish, doesn't even look like its working properly... That mk2 mr2 with the jet engines was pretty stoopid aswell, but at least it worked. :splat:
  6. Magnetic rear - seem to attract tailgaters wanting to race or watch the spoiler go up and down. The fact that mine is covered in dents and scratches and is not properly looked after - soon to change once I've moved house. The slight element of doubt just before you turn the key in the mornings...
  7. VX220 or Lotus's are hardly practical for a daily drive, far too track orientated, and how would you get your shopping from tescos in it! Sadly to meet ALL the criteria in the first post, your probably looking at something like a beamer. Personally I'd go for a Mitsu Evo 6 or 7, although again, a bit hardcore for daily drivnig/servicing etc...probably a scooby would be better in that regard. 300zx would be quite a good option. (Sorry but most women don't even know what make the car is let alone whether its a big daft boys toys with stupid plastic bits all over them)
  8. Other terms include "series" or "revision" or just "rev", or "A", "B", "C" all means the same thing though :?
  9. Nah, he'll just be spinning the rear wheels constantly! As for mpg prob no worse than the rover v8
  10. Personally I love the SD1, fantastic cars.... The more 80's the better!
  11. I must admit I am a fan of the calibra, but as mentioned its being ruined by chav's driving/modding them as the price is much cheaper than say the overpriced corrado. I'd still rather have a corrado over a calibra looks wise tho...hence that what I got!
  12. I'm a vaux/opel man, (currently restoring a manta) and I do quite like the look of a calibra, and in standard un-modded forms it would beat any standard unmodded corrado in a striaght line, although admittedly, not by very much, but the engine is very tunable. However... The main problem with Calibras is that they are a complete bast*rd to work on, and exceptionally unreliable. Unless you get a coscast head red top, your engine will go porous, the electrics in a calibra a bleedin' nightmare, and if you want to carry out any work on one, its pretty much an engine out job. As mentioned before the 4X4 system in calibras is also rather prone to falling to bits. I've driven both, and a corrado handles a lot, and I mean a lot better than a calibra. Buy a corrado, definately looks better, and is a lot more reliable and exclusive.
  13. I live in the centre of Cardiff, which is basically sea gull and pigeon central of the world! My car looks like that most days. :( Worst one yet was this week, horrible fluorescent yellow jobbie on my drivers door window....dread to think what it most have ate to get it that colour, most unpleasant. :pukeright:
  14. I loved my rocco, unfortunately the pants brakes ended its life (a situation I just couldn't avoid). But generally as mentioned if you leave a bigger gap and brake early your fine, just don't expect to stop in an emergency. They are strong cars though, took a hell of a whack and I was completely unharmed. The headlights are also pretty weak (like the C's), so uprated wire loom is common, unless you piss everyone off driving around with the enormous fogs on. Rusty door bottoms are also worth looking for, as its usually the first place to rust on a mk2. I actually found my carbed 1.8 gt2 quite nippy, must be quite a bit lighter than a rado. Awesome looking cars, really makes me smile when I see one. Damnit, wish I still had one :( My mint GT2, I hardly paid anything for it a few years ago, seems the price has gone up a bit.
  15. Mine does this, I can get it back in under the window rubber, but as soon as the car gets hot inside, it pops out again! Strong glue methinks.
