  1. thanks for the info DT so far I've got the facet pump and will be making a tank and will need to get some more braided hose and in line filter for the tank.i was also considering fitting a cooling rad for the system i think you may be correct about the engine oil as vag saw it fit for purpose.
  2. putting together a kit and wondering what type of oil was best to use,im sure i remember someone using a machine oil due to higher viscosity or am i talking bollox :cuckoo:
  3. if it cleans so well why hasn't the yellow cloth changed colour surely it should be covered in 5hit :cuckoo:
  4. big shout out in a tim westwood fashion to rob dub,for sending out parts before i had even payed for them :) excellent packaging also.Good to know there are some decent traders out there still,ps wheres me cat you did say it was included in the sale
  5. yes indeed feck all it didn't occur to me that someone would send something worth 80.00 via regular post and i tell you what i will send you the 1,45p pence since you've been left out of pocket,if you had asked i would of sent you the extra cash to cover the recorded delivery.I have learned a expensive lesson here and wont make the same mistake twice,i trust since you put your return address on them that should they turn up on your doorstep one day you will be sending them straight out back to me  so fellow forum members please do not buy or sell me anything because i will try to con you with elaborate stories of items not being received because im a crook you have mr g60 stoneys word for that. THE END!
  6. it could be worse it could be 80.00 worth of goods+10.00postage when someone decides to scrimp on the postage and send the goods via regular post instead of recorded :salute: the receipt came the next day,i think theres a lesson to be learned mr postman :clown: yeah thats true too, but being a postman i know the value of a little orange sticker on an item. and its valued at Feck all. send me a recorded item and ill recieve it and bet you the £90 you wont get a signature....oh and recorded items have no more insurance than a standard packet, its just the fact that you get proof that the person has signed for it the other end, maybe this was the case? as the item didnt require a signature maybe you did recieve it and are just trying to get it for free?[/quote:b310k2b7]yes mate youve rumbled me im trying to get the adapters for free :cuckoo: thats why im selling my wheels in the for sale section ive brought and sold stuff on here and never had any desire to con anyone out of anything and never will im sure there are people who i have traded with who can vouch for me,so now after loosing 90.00 down the drain your now sugesting im a thief im lost for words, ive never been a good judge of character but it would seem yours is lacking any sort of decency, which is a shame as you seemed like a decent bloke letting me pay you in 3 instalments and i trusted you 100%.And despite what you have said about recorded delivery items the adapters never turned up but surprise surprise the receipt of postage turned up the next day,so thanks for nothing you are a wonderfull advert for the royal mail seems you cant trust anyone these days
  7. it could be worse it could be 80.00 worth of goods+10.00postage when someone decides to scrimp on the postage and send the goods via regular post instead of recorded :salute: the receipt came the next day,i think theres a lesson to be learned mr postman :clown:
  8. yep you need to fit the oe bush and top mounts, otherwise there going to do there own thing everytime you hit a bump, and the coilovers should come complete with bump stops.
  9. trying to remove my rear bumper today, bolts rusty as feck i managed to get one bolt out per side leaving two rounding off.Any ideas how to get the other two out, something tells me im not the only one to have this happen :? the car is just a donor so no need to worry about damaging anything except the bumper.
  10. lets get the facts straight if you had sent the column out when you got my cash over 3 weeks ago we wouldn't be at the place that we are now would we? also i would like to add if people cant be arsed posting parts after they have received peoples cash then they shouldn't be miffed when people get narky.I understand that people have other commitments we all do,but i find that informing people generally works better than ignoring them. And as for slagging you off I've done nothing of the sort, just stating the facts and going through one of your threads i noticed I'm not the only one to have had issues with you am i ? any how I'm glad to see this thread works as at least now i have had a response from you,you are the weakest link goodbye!
  11. this is how i do business. If someone sends me payment for a item i have for sale i let them know as soon as i have received payment be it cash or cheque, its at this point i will get the item ready for posting, items paid for via cheque i wait about a week for it to clear,if its cash i send the item out usually the next day. When i have posted the item i again let the seller now know the item has been posted and is in transit,i do this because i like to keep the buyer aware of whats going on,to me this is the way business should be done and as a result lets buyers know i can be trusted.as for items going missing in the post i always use 1st class recorded delivery and have had no issues as yet.I just wish everyone could operate this way which brings me to my current dilemma i have two raddos one donor and one minter shell, the donor is sat in my garage and the good almost rolling shell is sat outside my garage blocking it,as it cant be moved as it has no steering column. After no joy on here sourcing one i found one for 30.00 posted on dubforce the seller being 4low who also frequents this site,as i don't have paypall or a cheque book it was agreed that i would send cash via 1st class recorded delivery, after a initial false start on my part i didn't get round to sending the cash due to a pending funeral to contend with. After a couple of weeks i recieved a pm from 4low asking if i still wanted the column as he had removed it from the car, after apologizing i explained that i needed the part and i couldn't get anything done withought it,so payment was sent the next day. After not hearing anything after a week i sent a message asking if he had received payment to which he replied he had and would get the item sent out, after looking out for the post for another week i sent 4low a text message asking if he had sent the item out yet and was told"sorry I've been away will send it tomorrow. That was over a week ago and as i am writing this still have no column to fit, yesterday i sent a second text message which stated if he hadn't sent the item out yet could he please return my cash so i could obtain one from somewhere else,im yet to receive a reply.Im a fairly laid back guy and as such i haven't bombarded this person with text messages or phone calls when i did try to call him i got no answer surprise surprise, but i think I've waited long enough.obviously there are two sides to every story so i would invite 4low to tell his version of accounts or better still send me my column or my money back.so there you have it ye be warned steer clear of 4low :(
  12. sounds like the voltage regulator in the back of the clocks, easy fix it sits on the right of the clocks at the rear of the rev counter looks like a small square with 3 legs and a heatsink at the top, should be able to get one from maplins or rs.this is what i did on my mk2 golf when my rev counter wet haywire so i guess this could be a similar fault, but no doubt i could be wrong :?
  13. the oil feckin up the mafs is a myth i believe,as kn put there money where there mouth is and challenged anybody to prove damage caused to a maf sensor, and no one stepped up so go figure.i use a bmc cda 85-150 on my mk2 1.9 sounds the dogs, but even that doesnt sound as good as the drilled standard airbox with standard paper filter imo,as the box resonates and makes the car sound like its got more balls than it actually has,but its a lump that has lots of induction noise anyway which is why i guess the put that stupid snorkel at its air intake.
  14. why are fse on g60 crap and do you speak from personal experience?
  15. jag xj220 many years ago never seen another since
  16. yeah ive heard lots of negative stuff about fse fpr not being suited to various engines.when i had my rover 220turbo there was much debate on how thease performed or didnt speaking from my own experience i found them to be a worthwile addition to my engine bay and the rolling road figures spoke for them selves as the fpr combined with a fuel cut deffender allowed fueling throughout the range
  17. ive got an fse fpr from my rover 220turbo with remote rail adaptor which fits the g60 rail so it should be fine when i get the fuel pressure sorted does any body have any pics of fpr instalations as im unsure of one pipe that comes of the fuel rail just after oe fpr
  18. i paid 1550 for her i think he should of paid me  nah just kiddin for the monney i cant complain & if it goes t!ts up i can always chuck the lump in the mk1  http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d87/m ... 000053.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d87/m ... 000052.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d87/m ... 000031.jpg :)
  19. i need to sort out the electrics as there are a few gremlins in the system and the bodywork needs sorting as she is sporting a severe case of acne at the mo,and to bin the 15inch tsw stealth alloys, a bit too shed scort turbo for me ive got a set of 9x16 borbet a ready and waiting for some coilovers. engine wise i have planned:bmc cda airbox.junk boost return.fit greddy oil catch tank.aquamist system1 for the summer.landrover td5 intercooler.turbosmart dual port bov.sns chip with 68mm pulley.larger injectors.new exhaust system.uprated fuel pressure regulator.vdo boost gauge.nomad racing af ratio gauge.bahn brenner charger outlets.spoon turbo timer&shift light. :)
  20. yeah it takes some gettin used to,as ive never driven a lefty before and being a shortarse theres not much rear visibility either, the seats are half leather lecky recaros :)
  21. just picked her up yesterday and after about 5 mins of ownership cracked the already cracked front splitter up a kerb then about 5 mins after that the gearknob decided to part company with me and went awol during a change up,oh well onwards & upwards :) http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d87/m ... 000065.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d87/m ... 000068.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d87/m ... 000064.jpg http://i33.photobucket.com/albums/d87/m ... 000063.jpg as you can see theres loads to be done so im gonna park her up in the garage and take it slowly bit by bit,and keep my mk1 while the raddo gets some much needed tlc.
  22. picked up my raddo g60 yesterday and after 5 minutes of ownership i managed to crunch the front spoiler doing 3 point turn, then i realised several key factors 1 i had never driven a left hooker 2 a wheel bearing was loosing the will to live 3 im a shortarse and i couldnt see much behind me 4 some shonky aftermarket gearknob decided it wanted to make its own decisions in life 5 aftermarket gearknob got stuck in reverse i had to use both hands to free it 6 the gearknob decided to teach me a lesson and left the shaft during a gear change  and to top it all my mk1 is giving me funny looks
  23. helo people i just picked up my g60 raddo yesterday and i did notice the smell of petrol from the engine bay after parking it up on my drive,im off for a butchers :)
