swapped blower motors and still no joy..~I think the 4speed switch is broke, I remember making it go through 360degrees which im sure whats knackered it..Ive tried removing the controls but cant get it out from the centre console, how do you do that? cant see a guide anywhere :(

I was thinking beetle front disks drilled to 5x130 with some modified bearing possibly. Ive seen it on a mk1 cabby a while back somebody had a really low ET :wink:

no its the engine getting seriously hot too quick and boiling the coolant, unfortunately. :help:

Old thread sorry but its still a problem on my old valver :cry: The coolant and pressure is geeting very hot quickly, the car is at a garage and Before I got it taken away I wanted to know if there was anything else it could be. I cant afford to have them take the head apart to investigate further unfortunately. They have fitted a new thermostat and tried it with a different rad still it gets too hot. sounds like its probably quite serious cheers again

yea I dont have the wheels fitted, I plan to run bug rear disks drilled to 5x130 and arch work, just doing other little mods till I can afford the bodywork :cry: damage caused by arches :epicfail:

I have recently fitted a solenoid to the boot because I wanted an american rear plate so now its wired up to a switch in the car and it also works off my new flipkeyfob

yea its bonded, just need to be carefull so cut the bond or heat it somehow :shrug:
