I saw on here somewhere somebody had put a golf mk4 dash in a mk 2 golf, Now its pretty common knowledge on here now it is possible to put a corrado dash in a mk2 golf with not too much bother so i was wondering if a corrado dash can go in a mk2 and a mk4 dash can, could a mk4 dash go in a corrado?, I was thinking more towards the gearknob positioning would you have to use the golf column? would it fit? What about heater controls? specially the old slide type ones as opposed to the later knobs, Has anyone done it? Could it be done?

Thats really worried me now cos pretty much same thing happened to me and ive just got the car back and handed over 500 big ones!!

Only Ever see the same rado's about, about 3! any one else round this area? and is there any meets goin?

had a 1.8 valver for just over a year now it has never budged over half way on the temp gauge no matter how hard or light its driven, since then i have just bought a 2.0 16v one but ever since i had it on day one it as ran at about 3 quarters high on the temp gauge, but i dont know if this is normal, anyways, i am just waiting for tomorrow while i hand over £600 for a replaced head. new gasket water pump, power steering belt, head bolts thermostat starter motor mid section exhaust and a few other bits along the way, and it is still running at the same temp I just cant understand it, and obviously having spent all i have on gettin it right I dont want the same to happen again, the car itself is an absolute minter i picked it up dirt cheap but now i feel lke its kickin me in the teeth, PLease can somone help me

The engine and gearbos seams to be the only thing that hasnt gone wrong, the gearbox feels better than my mates 100k j reg 2.0, apart from that, breaks hoses, you name it, it seams to be more little things that go wrong that can only be bought through vw at top prices, anyone who says many golf mk2 parts fit is full of sh1t, speaking through experience and may i just had i must of had more than anyone on here!,the only parts that have been the same were wishbones and injector pipes, everything else is either way out or has to be significantly modded to fit as a temp fix, Ireally am getting to the end of my tether with it, im keeping it through love alone,It would kill me to break it for parts, even as my own doner, I would want a n reg vr6, and obviously. again all the parts are different!!

My H reg valver is on 267k now, as much as i love it and never want to sell it and its the best car ever, the reality of the mileage is really cripling me financially , I just dont know what, I have owned it for just over a year now and must of replaced nearly every part on it, its in the garage every odd week for one thing or another, even when its all right it either needs tax or MOT, I have been for the last year,and will be using it for the next fortnight or so using it for a 40 mile a day commute, my mentality is that because i have replaced most parts that the chances of it going wrong for a while get better each time, but it still keeps going wrong week after week, and money is none existant, I am putting every penny i have (and every penny I dont have for that fact) into it because I love it so much,Question is Will this ever stop? I keep thinkikng shall i sell and get one with lesser miles?Truth isI will prob be lucky to get £500 for the condition of the body work and mileage It kills me admitt it but its only good for scrap!! a)IS IT WORTH IT?b) WHAT WOULD YOU DO? c)IS ANYONE ELSE IN THE SAME BOAT??

Ive got a h reg 1.8 valver, just turning over 267000 miles now, to be fair it hasnt given me too much trouble, my mates has done half the mileage and has had twice as many problems,I was talkin to a old bloke with a g60 at leeds show the other week his was on 170k still with the original charger,depends whos had it how its driven, i use mine to commute 40 miles a day, only thing it could do with is a full respray apart from that its all sound!

So just to get this one going, I had a friend that was adamant that his ford Ka was better than my rado???? I need say no more!! the best comback he could give was 'well my car is worth more than yours' if someone can let me know of a Ford ka in 16 years time thats achieved 267k and counting then i will walk away with my tail between my legs!!!

Gotta agree with cazza 16v on that last one, whenever i tell anyone what car ive got its either one of three answers A)whats one of those B) I always wanted one of those!! or 9 times out of 10 C) is it the v6)!! I think I speak for us all on that one!!
