Hi Chris, just wondering if you're selling these now? If so I'd be keen to buy a set off you... Cheers Dan
-
Thanks Allan, will see if I can get a test light and give the cylinder drop test a try.

Cheers Jim. No vagcom unfortunately so if anyone in the south London area is willing to help then let me know! I've had a good look at the coil pack and no visible cracks. All leads seem tightly pushed onto the coil pack, and no wet weather related misfiring, and no improvement as the engine warms up. Any other ideas?! Dan

My 1995 vr6 developed a misfire the other day having been misfiring intermittently over the past couple of months. It's now turned into a constant misfire, sounds like it's missing a cylinder and down on power, bit like a Subaru. Starts fine and idles ok, just rough and emissions smell very rich.MPG also seems to have dropped a little. Coil pack and leads were replaced less than 2 years ago (15k miles) so I tried the next most obvious thing and replaced the plugs today. See pictures attached - plug number 2 (bottom left on diagram of all 6) is covered in oil, although it hasn't reached the electrode. Plug 1, top left, is also quite bad. Changing the plugs has not cured the misfire though so I'm scratching my head for ideas now! Just wondering if anyone has any suggestions as to what to try next before I give up and take it to the garage? Cheers! Dan

Yeah that would be great if you have one. I bought one of the blue caps a few years ago but it sounds like it might be a good idea to replace it if I'm swapping the tank anyway. If the tank is in good working order then I'll be happy to take it.
-
I'd be interested in this as mine has started to leak. What condition is it in? Cheers Dan
-
Stonejag thank you for the photos but I have now managed to pick up a headlight so no longer looking :) just seen you're advertising an expansion tank though so will contact you about that on the relevant post Thanks for all your help guys! Dan

Cheers Stonejag!

Jim, thanks for your suggestion, my preference would be to get a replacement as I can't afford to have the car out of action for long while the reflector is being refurbished. I will certainly bear them in mind should I not be able to find a decent replacement. VEEDUBBED I have PMd you my email address and will look forward to seeing what you've got Cheers guys Dan

I'm looking for a passenger side headlight for my 1995 VR6 as the chrome has gone yellow on my reflector. I'd take a whole headlight unit, or just the reflector if it's in good condition. Cheers

Yeah he was crazy about the prelude wasn't he! Seeing it driving alongside the others there just shows how well the corrado has aged.
-
Great clip, cheers for that! I can't believe the calibra :camp: was rated alongside the corrado  I wonder what Clarkson's opinion of the Probe is these days?!

Good plan, it may well be that the sensor just needs cleaning, if its broken then the ABS light should come on (unless of course it has been disabled!). Might be worth replacing all the bits anyway, the sensors are pretty cheap. Let me know how you get on anyway. Dan.

No worries mate, let me know how you get on!

I'd say its almost definitely an ABS issue. I replaced my ABS pump and front sensors recently and have the same problem. Only ever happens when you apply the brakes at speeds below 15mph. You hear a clicking/vibrating noise coming from the engine bay, which can also be felt through the pedals - this is the ABS pump. Then when you touch the pedal the ABS cuts in and jars you to a stop, which is very irritating when you do a lot of town driving, keeps you on your toes tho :) Do a search, there's a couple of posts on this issue. Most likley related to the gap between the ABS sensor magnet and the wheel rotor cage - needs to be even on both sides (between 3mm and 8mm apparently). It may be that the rotor is bent or damaged. Otherwise check that nothing is interfering with either the sensor or rotor, eg suspension, wheel bolts etc. Any of these could be fooling your ABS into thinking that the wheels are locking. Hope this helps :)
